Here's the problem : I have an older version of a R4i-SDHC (the one without any "1.4", "1.4.1" or "3DS" mention) that I want to use on a DSi XL (1.4.3). The site shows how it's done (Settings / Update), but it also recommands to not do that if the updated R4i-SDHC is not a "3DS" one.

So, does anyone tried that ? Did it worked or not ? Should I do it or not ?

Thanks in advance.

PS : Sorry if there are any incomprehension issues, but English is not my main language.

I have the same question, but my R4i_SDHC is the 1.4 version, sure it's a clone, I wanna know if someone knows where can I update the firmware to 1.4.3.U(my DSI XL has this firmware), Must I proced in this update like I did in acekard 2i? Must I need a DSLite to do it, and after should I use kernel? YSmenu or Wood?

Don't try it unless you want a brick.
