hello, so i want to make games in general but idk what to do in it. i want to come up with the basic concept and storyline, multiplayer, characters, etc for the game but i also want to make the graphics and surroundings and stuff. Of course this will be my major in college. so what i'm asking is what should i major in. Also is there a way i can start making my own basic little games by learning a programming language right now?

And i'm pretty sure this is the internet and not grammar school, so i don't think i need to give a shit about the way i spell. Everyone spells like shit on the internet because it isn't an essay.

Follow this guide to learn how to prepare your computer for DS programming.

This is one of many sites that teach actual programming.

or google 'c programming books' (recommended)

After you get familiar with the basics of C, look at the example programs in devkitPro to see how C is used in actual DS programs. Start by changing lines here and there to see what happens. Eventually start building things from scratch when you have a game idea of your own. The most important thing to know is be patient and don't give up if things don't go your way.

Speaking of Game Designing and Programming, where would "Game Simulation Arts" fall into? I want to have a part in the video game production, but I'm not so sure about the whole programming and texturing thing. I'm a musician, free runner, and I'm pretty much very "artsy."

In a brochure of the college I'm going to, a student was interviewed and there was a picture of him wearing the blue motion capture uniform with Simulation Arts being his major, which is something I've always wanted to try. Just curious. :P

The college I'm attending is the only college in my state, or even within a few states range I believe, that has that major, specifically. Every other college I looked at recommended graphic design. I'm not really fond of making posters, banners, etc.

EDIT: I plan on visiting the campus again in a few months, but if you guys know anything at the moment, go ahead and let me know.

Hey guys I made a 4th grade typo, so now i'm going to talk about how no one cares about spelling on the internet.

Then proceed to complain about words that aren't wrong.

This is absolutely incorrect.
I beg to differ.

Wants College education; can't be bothered to spell correctly.

Good luck with that.
