Ok I used the option to install ubuntu alongside Windows...
Now while using it I get around 1 hour battery life. Which is
a problem considering I can get 5 hours in power saver mode
on Windows. Is there some way to put my laptop in "power saver mode"
while in Ubuntu.

1. Lower brightness.
2. Haven't used 11.10 and probably never will, but I believe you should still be able to access all sorts of power management settings by clicking on the battery icon.

Of course I tried lowering brightness :P
But Power Saver mode on Windows will do alot
more. Such as decreasing overall performance to save
battery. I mean something like that.

they ruined the new ubuntu
my 11.10 after every restart puts ubuntu to the max brightness also 80% of the power option are gone
but if you want to search for the options on your top-right go to system settings and then power option :s even thought there is a little you can do T-T

p.s also try do log in in unity 2d

The little that I can do is useless...
Changing sleep options and hibernate doesn't help
while I'm using the thing.

damn you canonical why you ruined ubuntu
What did they do?
And also apart from the power thing it's awesome.
Also I can't seem to connect to any (wireless) networks right now. That's my other problem.
