Just dumped my nand using usbloader gx 2.3. How do I change themes on it?

how do I install custom systemmenus (themes) onto the *neek nand?
Create/obtain the theme as a .csm/.app (must match the system menu installed on your *neek nand).
Rename the .csm/.app to 000000xx.app
Replace neeknand:/title/00000001/00000002/content/000000xx.app with the file you just renamed.
You can figure out the actual file name of 000000xx.app here:

Code:
Version/ NTSC-U NTSC-J PAL (E) Korea
Region
3.2 00000042.app 00000040.app 00000045.app ?
4.0 00000072.app 00000070.app 00000075.app ?
4.1 0000007b.app 00000078.app 0000007e.app ?
4.2 00000087.app 00000084.app 0000008a.app ?
4.3 00000097.app 00000094.app 0000009a.app ?

If you had priiloader on your real nand, than it should be in the emulated nand extracted from the dump as well.

I am unsure if the priiloader installer is running in neek. Maybe someone else can tell?

If you use modmii to create your emulated nand, it will ask if you want priiloader on it.

I also might as well ask how to install priilaoder on uneek?

You'll need to get hold of the preloader dol (not the installer). Then reverse the instructions below.

How do I remove preloader from my dump
1) navigate to /title/00000001/00000002/content (this is the sysmenu folder)
2) there should be a file in there called 100000xx.app (xx depends on systemmenu) this is effectively main.dol of the system menu
3) delete 000000xx.app (this is effectively preloader.dol)
4) rename 100000xx.app to 000000xx.app (swap the leading 1 for a 0)

While the procedure you describe is fine to remove priiloader, I don't think reversing it will work.
The priiloader installer also creates a folder on the nand and stores some files in it like the hacks.ini.
The remove procedure simply leaves those folder and files untouched.
If I remember well, it's the /title/00000001/00000002/data folder

I have never had good luck being able to access priiloader on my uneek nand. I remove priiloader using the instructions wilsoff posted and then just install startpatch. It has all the same hacks and will install on a uneek nand.

My 2 cents

It's a known issue that priiloader setup hangs when priiloader is running under uneek. This issue will soon be fixed.
As a temporary fix, if you rename the neek font.bin file, priiloader setup should work fine.
It disables the neek overlay menu which normally kicks in after 10 seconds.

If you install a Priiloader forwarder (channel) into your neek nand this will allow you more then enough time to modify any setting in Priiloader under neek enviroment; this has already been verified. Also are you making fresh nands or dumping yours from your console?

what ios should i use to start startpatch. Cannot figure out how to install hbc to nand so i hvae homebrew filter.
Not sure the IOS but you will have to either install HBCv0.7 to your wii then dump it or find the illegal wad file of HBCv0.7 and install from PC via ShowMiiWads.

@kylster--I have used fresh nands in the past but I am currently using a dump from my console. Like I said I haven't had any luck with accessing priiloader others have and thats cool with me. I just use startpatch because it gives me the same hacks as priiloader without all the hoops to jump through. IMHO the bigest "selling point" priiloader has over startpatch is the ablity to help unbrick which is kinda a moot point on a emu-nand

@kirbymaster101--I run it from the homebrew filter and use ios 249 or 236 (I believe I have used both I am not sure what versions it was whatever I had installed a year or so ago). You have to give it time to start because it is slow. When it first asks you to choose an ios it will take a min or two to move on and then I think there is a warning (wait a min or two) then it will show the hacks. If you get an error (I dont remember the exact wording but something about "not found/nothing to do") then you still have priiloader on your nand and have to remove it.

All honesty PostLoader2 does just a good of a job loading homebrew as the HBC does on uneek+di; hell it's even faster. I wouldn't even bother installing HBCv.07 anymore just keep your v.08 and install a PostLoader forwarder and boot it that way.
