I've tried LG Opti, and the 3D is horrible. Not in terms of whether the 3D is there or not. It is there, but at 800 by 480, the display looks awfully pixelated.
How does it compare to the 3DS? The 3DS has a 400 × 240 screen, you'd think it would be the pixellated one.

Nah, I was just saying my view on the stereoscopic 3D display of the LG Optimus 3D. 3DS has a display of 800 by 240 (making it an even 400 by 240 in 3D) but the Optimus/Evo has 800 by 480 (which makes it 400 by 480 in 3D). Tried it, and the only plus is YouTube 3D and the rest of the 3D menus are awfully pixelated.

Sorry for the off topicness.

If you ask me, what they really need is a 3DS XL!
Better battery, big screens, room for the second slider pad and shoulder buttons.

But when I think about it, the 3D effect may not work as intended if the screen was considerably bigger.
Yeah, no point to make it 'lite' anymore, 3DS already have the same size as DSL.
I think NIntendo can solve that problem, bigger screen, more 3D eff.

I just assumed they had a 1600x480 screen that gave you 800x480 in 3d mode, but come to think of it 1600 would be a bit much on a screen that size. Or not; I can't be arsed to do the math right now :ha:

Blah, pixel density :P

I'm gonna need some kind of handle for 3DS to be comfortably played, at least with the intensity of my grip. I just wish it provided an extra battery source.
Well, the slider pad does provide better grip according to ign and others.

And yeah. Battery. Any third party???? D:

WOW I cannot believe someone actually believes that the 3DS is better than the PS Vita.

Welcome to GBAtemp, home of the Nintendrones.

Seriously though, if I wanted a 3DS and I wanted a revision for it, I'd want a 3DS XL. With no 3D. And a second analog stick. But then I'd just buy a Vita I guess...

Am I the only one who thinks the 3D is just utterly stupid and useless? It gives me a headache, it's cheesy, and it distracts me from the game. I can't see how you people are satisfied with the way the 3DS is. A second analog stick is completely necessary, but their "solution" does make the 3DS less portable and it looks weird. Nintendo should've just created a sleek two analog stick system without 3D and better graphics, and possibly a bigger screen. 3D is a gimmick that only worked when I watched Avatar.

Battery isn't important to you? The Vita and the 3DS have the same battery life.

I am sure that a 3DS lite will have 2nd slide pad building. Therefore, I dont have 3DS because i dont like it. If a 3DS lite doesnt have 2nd slide pad building then none for me. Wise money spending. I will watch for Wii U.

Battery isn't important, so long as the thing can play games for a couple of hours. I'm not a forgetful idiot who forgets to charge my stuff every night.
I'm with you, you forget to charge it when you're not using it you don't deserve to have a handheld at all, and in regards to the other guy, I think you'll find that the 3DS's is better. You get more hours out of it.

imho i didnt think the 3d was all that great at first. it gave me headaches too, for the first cumulative 3-4 hours of gameplay, since then i have not had any issues using the 3d on full or minimum depending on the game and senario. i can also go either way with the slider... though it would be nice to have it, the only way i plan on aiming in a fps game is with the amazing built in motion controls.... i use it for ocarina of time and it works phenomenal. i will buy the add-on when i find a game that i feel it is necessary for.
i also intend on buying the vita , as its game lineup seems promising.

I charge my 3DS every night but I still don't really like the battery. I guess I'm just spoiled with good battery life on most of my belongings. :P

Some people's eyes and brains can't handle 3D their brains take a very very long time to adjust to it. I myself never had any problems with the 3D, and I even have bad eyesight, I have never taken the 3D slider off of full 3D since I took my 3DS out of the box. Never got any headaches from prolonged gameplay. I'm lucky having bad eyesight and still able to handle 3D. And 3D is not a gimmick at all considering we will be going from 3D to hologram tv in the next several decades. There are prototype hologram tv's, so this 3D ( gimmick ) is just the start.

Troll dick. 3D is rather neat and ya gotta be a big pussy if it gives you a headache. Some games and videos could have more depth though. After playing in 3D, 2D is so flat and yesterday.
