@marhartigan

plneek.dol no more exists... from build 35 it is integrated in priibooter.dol

Same icons for standard channels (mii and so on) are available in dist zip (copy folder /ploader from dist to your /ploader folder). Other icons can be downloaded directly by online download.

bnm81002, there is something wrong with your setup. "postLoader.dol" in "postLoader2b35.zip" really is version 2b35.

@zfa - thank you for the detailed reply.

Kind of disappointing that I'm unable to load a large size nand directly from either UNEEK+DI or postloader2 on top of UNEEK+DI.

I'm wondering what type of a configuration people with large numbers of games (at least more than (a dozen or so) * (the 16 possible nands you can have in postloader2)) are using. I think I recall GartimusPrime mentioning something like 663 or so titles. How would someone do this based on the limitations you mention?

Also, is there any possibility that the steps in the Historii for b35 (mentioning the use of priibooter.dol as the "installed file" in Priiloader that is autobooted instead of neekbooter.dol) could remedy this problem? Kind of silly to ask the question because I'm about to test it, but I'm still interested in any feedback anyone might have about this.

[I'm hoping I'm understanding the Historii correctly. From following the Readmii, I was autobooting neekbooter.dol. I'm confused by step 9 in the UNEEK installation instructions. If you're setting Priiloader to autoboot the installed file, neekbooter.dol, why are you able to delete it? Also, am I correctly understanding the instruction "* plneek merged with priibooter (now priibooter 1.4). Install this version under priiloader" to mean that I should change the "Load/Install File" in Priiloader to priibooter.dol on the root of the SD-Card?]

While I thank you, zfa, for explaining the limitations to me, I'm still left wondering what people with these 1TB and 2TB drives are doing to play all the content they can fit on those drives. Most of the entire library of released VC/WiiWare is 12 channels, why not skip (S)UNEEK altogether?

If I run postloader2 based on the "(B) Real Wii: priiloader extension via priibooter (ios 249 required)", shouldn't I be able to point postloader2 to the "large" single nand that I have on my USB drive and thereby have no need for NEEK at all? Postloader2 will run my VC/WiiWare titles and I can use WiiFlow or CFG-USBLoader for my Wii titles. Am I confusing the functionality of (S)UNEEK and postloader2?

I added some additional questions to my post above.

Thank you for the reply stfour, very impressed with the support you offer for this software. It's definitely appreciated. When you say "loooooooooooooong time", could this be an hour? 45 minutes?

And once it's loaded, will it take that long the next time it's loaded? Nevermind. That's what you meant by "almost the first time". Lost in translation. ;-) LOL!

when I install all my channels to one nand, then I go into uneek it goes through the setup for the first time...once set up is done it says system files are corrupt...however if I install by alphabet on 26 different nands each game loads/works. So I am unsure if there is some kind of channel limitation in place in uneek.....

I haven't tried installing more than the max SM channels on NEEK, but I would imagine the same rule applies.

I'm pretty sure to have tried to install more that 47 channels in neek for testing in the past.

I'm working on wiiload support... about 90% completed. I want reach 100% before thinking to other things (for example it seems to me that last v. of sneek has compatibility problems with some wiiware)

Recently thought of testing postloader. After installation, do I always need to press reset upon power on to access the postloader menu or does it automatically boot up?

Thanks..

Do confuse postloader with priiloader. Postloader is just a homebrew app that I "suggest" to install in priiloader autoboot.

This is what I use to manage my single nand. But it requires you to use/manage it via your pc/laptop. Otherwise it works great.

I sure hope so, since the latest beta of Settings Editor GUI tries to launch the forwarder if you are in an emu nand.

Hmm...that makes this kinda important. But like I said, I certainly have SD:\apps\postloader\boot.dol in place, and it works through the homebrew channel and - filter just fine.

I can't think of that much more to say. The forwarder channel has a title ID of 'POST', version 512, 1.82 MB in size, uses IOS35 (which is installed) and is region free. I even have a SD:\postloader.dol in place, so that shouldn't be an issue either.

EDIT: just tested it on my NTSC nand to be sure. It doesn't load there either. Well...of course it DOES show the music and the banner and all everytime. It's just when you try to run it that it blackscreens.

Can anyone please confirm/deny my statement?

Sorry, yes youu can. It is some version that boot.dol is no more in app/postloader. You have to copy manually it from postloader.dol to boot.dol

In reply to the queries regarding number of titles in a SNEEK NAND I've done a bit of testing... even if NEEK is booting directly into postloader (via priiloader's auto-boot) it will NOT play nicely with more channels than the system menu allows (48).

Now, you can use that UID manager java app to strip titles out of the uid.sys whilst leaving them in your emu NAND and get postloader working with LOTS of titles in the emu NAND perfectly. As postloader 'finds' the titles itself you DON'T need them in the uid.sys anyway and it all works really well. However, on launching a title via postloader under NEEK it seems to add it into the uid.sys (maybe this has to happen so that the game can be launched). There will come a time, therefore, when your uid.sys will gradually fill up to >48 titles and I suspect that at that time the NEEK environment will stop loading. Is it worth possibly adding an option to postloader under NEEK (and only under NEEK!) to say 'clean' the uid.sys of the last title launched on it's startup? I assume this could leverage the code used to 'remember' the last launch titled with the microsneek functionality (where it was used to copy saved games out of microsneek and back into the emu NAND). If this was implemented then postloader would 'just work' under NEEK providing you get the uid.sys cleaned up initially. One big fat NAND. As many channels as you want. No ongoing maintenance.

The ONLY other thing I could think of that would possible be missing in order to make postloader under NEEK the ultimate WiiWare/VC launcher would be an option to force a return to postloader instead of the system menu when exitting Wiiware/VC.

Any thoughts?
