Hey!

I've just gotten 1500 Nintendo Points through the Connection-Helper-Program and bought Zelda Alttp for it but now I'm facing the problem, that I can access the shop channel but can't download anything (Error Code 204058).

So before I end up with a broken Wii I'd like to ask you how to fix this? Does IOS70 and IOS38 need to be installed? ;_;

Thx,
Darkangel5000

Nintendo's website suggests waiting (it could be downtime on Nintendo's side) or adjusting your Wi-Fi connection. There's no need for IOS38 or IOS70.

He is on 4.0E and may need to install latest IOS61 and Shop Channel_v418 (latest), download them with NUS and install them in this order.

Already tried that (through WiiSCU, DopIOS, WiiShopInstaller,Wadmanager via NUS WAD's) - it didn't work :/

Nope. On another unmodded Wii it works like a charm. >_

I expect this to be a Nintendo side problem. If you want to go sure it is not your fault reinstall "RVL-Shopping-v18.wad" and deactivate all kinds of firewalls that are between your Wii and the Internet, especially TCP.
I can't imagine that this is a Nintendo side problem, as I've gotten this Error already when the whole WiiWare-Demo program began. But since I thought back then it was a server side problem, I didn't care and turned the wii off. :/

Well, I've installed the RVL-Shopping-v18.wad from Google and....

TloZ: Alttp
Download aborted
Errorcode 204058
Please try again later ;_;

Tried it also at my sisters flat, where she can download everything with her wii like a charm. But mine didn't work there too ;_;

Download with NUS a clean IOS61-64-v5405.wad (will not work with older rev) and Shopping Channel-NUS-v18.wad and install them with wad manager in this order.

I think he did that already...also, IOS61 has v5405 out. v4890 is outdated.

@darkangel: Which version of IOS61 did you use? If you used v4890, try v5405 and see if it works.

You are right, my mistake (fixed my post). He should re-download them as he is using a google wad for SC-v418....you never know.

Tripleposting ;_;

Well, just wanted to thank you all for your help. Got it working by deleting the stub ios's via dop-ios mod and deleting some unneccessary content like DVDX or the doubled (moar like quadrupled) weather and news channels :3

Seems like the Wii was region changed... that would explain the problems when downloading VC/WW.
Actually it wasn't region changed, it's a day-1 german pal-territory Wii. The shop channel worked till end of october and the multiple weather and news channels only existed because I didn't remove the updates from foreign discs, when I had my modchip :3 (the channels are like 2-3 years old o.o)

What is a stub ios?
I have the same Wii (Day 1 PAL Wii, hardmodded, later softmodded) and the same problem you had years ago.
I still have 3 weather channels and 3 news channels.

Wow lad, that's one old topic you dug out.
Stub IOS are practically non-functional IOS, that were rewritten with 0s by Nintendo. More often than not it was used to disable the use of cIOS.
There was also IOS60 which was later on stubbed, if I remember correctly and turned your Wii into a brick, if you were softmodding it and downloading a newer IOS60 from NUS.

The solution to the problem was also posted here, there was literally no need to revive this thread from the dead.
