Are you familiar with Fatmatch app (attached below) for renaming?
I personally would just match the Japan Mega Drive .png art to your rom names.
Then I always use Advanced Renamer (Freeware) to add .zip extension to the cover art .png files. If you have never used Advanced Renamer, there is a slight learning curve but not difficult, once you use it a few times, you will never use anything else.
Looked at Fatmatch, this one seems handle probs very well.
For renaming or replacing I have scripts on my file manager (linux), I use a very nice directory comparator called meld on linux too.
How to set boxcovers layouts per system ? When I change one others are impacted.
EDIT : ok it's "locking sourceflow" in the settings option. I had a différent understanding of that option.
Shoutout to @Wiimpathy, for porting the little but working very well, HATARI on Wii. That Atari 520STE was my only childhood system. Awsome to find again the feeling of everything : cracktro, nice 16bits colors, this nice buzing, and windy sound, played in good condition (crt, and couch).
I had tried the retroarch core some times ago on wiiu, but was not very optimal...
Special mention to the wiimote controls emulate mouse, aside for reactivity, those makes the best feeling so far for titles like arkanoid2 or shuffle puck café, if not ever.
All this years m'y only solution playing my souvenirs on console, was the Amiga emulation.. yeark
Maybe there is some tweaks to make motion controls less clunky, especially on games and GEM ?
Maybe 240p/288p support on my concerns ?
Have nice day enjoy yourself you and all the wii lovers !
Glad you like this Hatari port. That was my only computer for a long time too. Lot of good memories with lucas adventure games, some silmarils games etc.
If you mean wiimote pointer as atari st mouse, it's not ideal you're right. But if I'm not mistaken it relies on SDL lib and most ports aren't so good with mouse emulation. I don't think it can be improved that much. Using classic pad/GC stick is also possible but not optimal either.
Regarding 240p mode, that could be done. One problem though would be dealing with menus and virtual keyboard positions. I'm pretty sure I've hardcoded a lot of values (some hacky code cause of lack of experience at the time ).

Ho yes ST Lucas arts are the ports I did and some french point and click too.
Wiimote control are good enough as it is. Think there isn't counter part for games that need accélération like the ones I mentionned. Likewise scummvm those fit very well in m'y opinion. On the other hand analog sticks, are far from idéal, so linear...
If you are using the default theme or RhapsodiiShima theme, yes Wii-MC button is not included...however, all of my releases include Wii-MC and much more. My Source themes have dedicated buttons for Everything...
Hi Running Snakes, First thank you for all you do for us. I appreciate all your hard work. I have two questions: 1) Which Mame for Wii is in the Plugin Pack is it the Toad King one or the Soul Fabre one? 2) Do you know if the 2003+ cores and the MAME Wii in the plugins pack support light gun games?
Thanks!
1. MAME Wii included in the plugins pack is @SaulFabre release.
2. Good question. I don't believe any of the arcade cores support light gun games but I could be wrong. So much testing with MAME and Final Burn I don't recall ever playing a light gun game.
I don't know, but MAME Hexaeco do. Indications from the thread below are that it requires first-play configuration changes. I expect the resulting configuration files are game (file) specific, so we probably can't include the required light gun configs to the plugins pack.

A long long time ago there was a thread called "Retroarch: Lightgun Support", it only worked in the FBA2012 core... you could switch the controller to "lightgun", I just played Sega's Zombie Raid that way. Then Wiimpathy when the split up MAME2003 cores came out made some "lightgun" versions. The Toad King Mame Wii, never had pointer support, so no Lightgun games there. The original SDL MAME that was before him did....but no one really seems to use that one anymore. I just found out about Soul Fabre and using the plugin pack I was going to try and add some of the games I once used the MAME 2003 + lightgun cores with and I hoped Soul Fabre had added pointer support. (So that is the history).
WFL Plugins Pack has been updated, this includes the addition of @cheloruiz79 port of RA Sharp X68000 core and his updated releases of RA VM Neo Geo and FBA PGM cores.
In addition, i have updated all of my themes to include X68K... in the future look for a cover set of around 200-250 X68000 covers if i can find the motivation soon
HI Everyone, I have been using the Wiiflow Plugins Pack and trying to use the Wii64 Rice plugin. I get an error when trying to launch a game that says it cannot access the path SD:\wii64\roms\
I haven't changed anything from the .ini the games are showing up in wiiflow okay, but the error occurs on start. Is anyone else having this issue?
Here are the most important lines from the .ini
arguments={device}:/{path}/|{name}
coverfolder=Nintendo/N64
displayname=Nintendo N64 (Wii64 Rice)
dolfile=N64/wii64_rice.dol
romdir=wii64/roms
I have the wii64 folder that is in the plugins pack at the root of the SD card.
I have looked for case issues and path issues, and cannot seem to figure it out. If anyone has any idea what is going on or if this has already been addressed let me know.

Are your roms in .zip or extracted? Wii64 does not support .zip so games must be extracted.
There has been an update to Wii64 for gl and rice cores very recently but I have not been able to test if they are WFL compatible yet. I have been very busy with side projects and work but intend to test this along with updates of WiiSX, Genesis Plus GX, FCEU GX, Snes9x GX and VBAGX these next few days. Hopefully WFL compatibility has not been broken for any and an update will be linked by the weekend.
WiiSX 4.2.2 - June 04, 2026
Genesis Plus GX - July 15, 2026
FCEUltraGX - August 11, 2026
Snes9xGX - August 11, 2026
VBAGX - August 11, 2026
I tested the latest Wii64 1.43 but unfortunately both gl and rice cores are not compatible with WFL plugins. I remember Saul putting in some time to get these working as plugins a few years ago, hopefully @emu_kidid will read this and maybe give his new cores the Plugin treatment like WiiSX...

With the recent Plugins Pack update, we have exceeded 70,000+ downloads over the past 5 years...
In this latest release, I have removed [FLOWS] from the platform ini file. This means using Tetsuo's original Rhapsodii Shima theme will not work as intended if you are using his theme. I have attached a platform ini that is up to date with Tetsuo [FLOWS] enabled if you desire.
These past 2 days I have cleaned up my coverflow ini files so all my themes "Flow" and "Source" can work universally along with the default. This is a huge burden lifted since now they all run from the same platform ini.
No more coverflow lock from the Flow themes which is beautiful, however, coverflows are limited to 15 choices. I did my best to include what was absolutely needed and filled out the remaining 2-4 that I personally like.
I also made available (for a short period) the Extra plugin package again, only a few adds were made but maybe some Old Timers & New Comers will enjoy these Quality plugins and QOL extras.
@RunningSnakes Sorry for the delay, just use arguments={device}:/{path}/{name} (no | before {name}) for Wii64 glN64 and Rice. I'm going to push a new version today to address some other things as well.

Thank you for reply, yes the arguments work 100%! I should have tested a little more thorough but sometimes the rabbit hole can be endless.
I have updated Wii64 plugins but will hold off distribution momentarily since there could possibly be another update soon?
Other updates and changes will be also be included. I have tested both GTA Vice City and Plants vs. Zombies ports and both working through WFL plugins. I have finished updating theme art and buttons for these additions while removing WiiStation Alt plugin from the main pack and moving it to the Extra pack.
There is also @cheloruiz79 Sega Saturn Z-GX port that could possibly get a plugin in the future. This would be beautiful but work is still to be done, hopefully when complete, it can be used as a plugin.

I believe I have stayed the course of what this plugins pack distribution was intended.
If anyone has anything to contribute, please post! I have made this very clear throughout the past few years and will continue to ask for suggestions to keep building.
Please keep in mind, removing plugins is not easy for me to do but needed in every case thus far. The latest removal (WiiStation Alt) was not being used by anyone most likely, 2 more plugins were added.
Lastly, the platform ini will be changed again to correspond with new additions and I will not offer an alternate. If you must use the old Shima theme, you will have to make changes manually since it will be outdated by at least 10 plugin inclusions.
With that out of the way, look for an update in the next couple days.
