So whats the best way to update my atnosphere cfw? I want to update it since its on 16 cfw to the latest. Whats everything i need ?

Update Atmosphere, Hekate, and payloads. Then download the latest fw files, place the files in a folder named firmware on your sd card, use Daybreak to install. If you use any homebrew apps you'll have to update those as well as the versions made for 16 won't work on the lastest fw. You'll also need to dump the latest keys to your sd card using lockpick.

UPDATED APPS for new firmware 21.0.0 (download the MODDED files if there is no official release for FW 21.0.0). USE the modded files with CAUTION. Not all modded apps have been tested.

yes, summary:

• backup your card,
• delete atmosphere and bootloader folders.
• install new downloaded atmosphère and hekate
• restore or recreate your configs.
• install only sysmodules/mods/cheats you need
• install new version of homebrew you use.

The idea is start over and do not carry bad/wrong/outdated config/software. and now you know exactly what is in your setup.

if you're below any of these versions go to the one you care about:

19.0.1 (if you absolutely insist on using a million custom sysmodules and mod games with memory intensive mods) + atmosphere 1.9.5
20.5.0 if you are a tinfoil user + atmosphere 1.9.5 ( and have come to terms with that you shouldn't be using custom sysmodules that you gain absolutely nothing from, no cosmetic or vanity allowed )
22.5.0 if you don't care about any of the things listed above + latest atmosphere (1.11.2)

I haven't updated my Switch in ages. I'm currently running Atmosphere 1.4.1 with Firmware 15.0.1, so it's really outdated

I honestly don't mod my Switch very much. One of the main reasons I want to update is so I can run newer games and finally use Fizeau. For some reason, Fizeau doesn't work on my current setup.

As a newbie I update atmosphere to 1.11.2

I can launch with hekate 3.5.3 but I got problems to launch with the direct fusee.bin last version

I'm pretty sure I copy package3 and fusee.bin from last version
I change reboot.bin and update.bin and review the config with fastCFW

If I launch fusee.bin payload from Mac or launch fusee.bin from Paload section of Hekate or launch reboot from an error in CFW I got that error
Review themes and rename contents folder to be sure

Which way should i backup, as in which one do i choose via hekate- eMMC BOOT 0&BOOT1 or eMMC RAW GPP? Also we skip the sigpatches right? Because that thread says its no more for the latest 22. Also whats INCOGNITO_RCM? If i dont have it on my sd card do i ignore it?

did you also update fusee.bin to the 1.11.2 version? that program id belongs to boot, which atmosphere reimplements, sounds like you are using an older fusee.bin

Sounds as you say but I sure that I use the correct downloaded from last release
The fact that I use it in the first attempt with payload injector with PC

backup your SD Card, if you are using File Based EmuNANDs is as easy as copy all folders.

If you are using Raw partition EmuNAND use a tool as https://gbatemp.net/threads/emutool...r-sd-switch-emu-type-on-sxos-and-more.550756/ Emutool to backup the raw partition, or better, migrate it to file based. Today there is no gain on a raw partition based emunand.

Ok because im a bit confused on how to use the emutool with Atmos. i did the emunand backup in heckate and did both options so hopefully its good since i have the EMU folder. And im backing up the entire sd card (again) since i did a emu backup (instead of just doing the emu folder lol).

Im running into the same issue, and i deleted the atmoshere folder on my sd card and added the new one doing a fresh install. Anyways im redoing evetything to try to boot in Atmoshpere butbstiok same issue.
