I'd recommend using the "Minimal" installation from the Mercenaries Metamod V3 installer. From there, you can enable which cheats/patches you want to use, and see which works best for you. I'll have to tweak more settings for v4.

Hi, I'm experiencing crashes in the Embedded mission which I never experienced before when using Metamod V3.

These are the following cheats I have enabled:
- Master code
- HD Glow
- Upscaled loading effects
- Civilian - Extended LOD Range
- Weapons - Mute Shotgun Fix
- Bullet tracers - Xbox-style
- HUD - Colorschemes - Xbox
- HUD - PDA - Xbox-style PDA
