ROM Hack LBX Little Battlers Experience(USA) Hacking request

Hello, new to this thread (and to hacking in general)
There is this lbx called Deqoo Custom A, and his weapon arms "Deqoo Cannon Arm" is unobtainable.
Do you know what would the id for them are? And if so, how can i insert it to my save file?

Playing on Citra btw
Would manly need a "all weapons" gateway cheat, which i know it might be pretty buggy, but i really need that Deqoo Cannon Arm

weapons are stored sequentially, but do not differentiate obtainable vs unobtainable. the best you can do is go one by one editing the quantity owned until you find the one you want. The range for weapon arms appears to be 0x8877d9c to 0x8877fe8 in RAM and each entry appears to be 6 bytes.

I'm sorry but could you please give me an example for the sequence i should be making if using gateway cheats?
(consider i know almost nothing about how this cheats work)

looking more into the topic, there's other deqoo series weapon arms that are actually obtainable and look the same, but if you're hung up on the inferior and unobtainable version that certain lategame enemies use, this code should suffice:

There is a "all weapons" code in circulation, but there's tons of dummied out weapons and boss weapons that do not function without the other boss parts equipped. Like all the dummied out/unobtainable weapons, this ID of Deqoo Cannon arm is not needed to complete the LBX parts guide in-game.

Also to note: the only reason the set is called "Deqoo Custom" is that the leg parts do not match the rest of the Deqoo set in use. Its not like the specialized Deqoo Ace/etc. sets that are an alternate build in the Deqoo series

Question, I'm trying to put Max credits in lbx I have the rom from usa but it doesn't work for me, I'm playing in citra mmj
 
The usual reason a simple code like the money cheat won't work is due to a game update. Looking closer, it seems there was no update - so its possible there's either a typo in your code or you didn't activate it. Worse case, the emulator you're using handles memory different (but that's not likely considering the vast majority of games don't have that problem) or you're using a patched version that adds/removes content, thus the money address is in a different location.

Making your own code just for that is easy. Search memory for your current credits (a 4 byte value), then buy/sell items a few times and exiting the shop between each action, searching again for the new amount each time. You should find it rather quickly and can then edit the address to be the max amount
 
I'm not knowledgeable about these things, but I'll see if I find a solution, otherwise I'll come back for more help

Tested and worked in Pacifica Shop talking to the cashier.

800000 Credits gives an unfair push at the start and you can buy/win
a very good LBX to rule the game except for fights when you need a
prepared one, thats why i didn't save and loaded again.

I switch to other version of citra and it work
Plus I was playing with the game in Spanish so that's the whole problem

After inputting certain codes, (not sure which ones) made it so that I can no longer see my LBX icons in the menu, I also cannot edit certain characters parts. More specifically characters that I recently unlocked. There was no problem with the effectiveness of the codes however their side effects seem to be detrimental as it takes a key component away from the game not being able to edit the LBX's parts. Would appreciate a solution for these problems.

your best bet is to revert to your last save before the codes were used and try them again one-by-one to find out which caused it. Things to make sure of: Is the game region of the codes the same as your game's region? Do you have all DLC installed/the game fully updated? Are you using codes that require the CTRPFAR plugin with the base Rosalina menu code engine that doesn't support some of the code types?

Are your cheats region specific?
 
they're for the USA release of the game, yes. The EUR version has different memory addresses, as does the JPN version - especially if patched/modded for another language. Setting a language other than English on the US version may also mess with memory addresses based on what data gets loaded into memory (the length of the text will vary thus change where addresses after that data get allocated to) and there's nothing I can do about that without manually having to re-find addresses for every code.

but yeah if the title ID for your game is not 0004000000147100 then that's why the codes are writing to the wrong addresses

The code requires CTRPF-AR specific commands not supported by the basic AR code format. If you're not using Nanquitas' blank CTRPF plugin with AR code support, it won't work (not on the cheat list in the Luma menu, not on emulator. it must be the CTRPFAR plugin)
