Ive been hearing about how good the price to performance is on Edifier speakers for years now... but i just never had the money.
Been running with busted speakers for nigh on two years now.
i have to place the speakers very carefully, cause of a loose contact, or they wont both work.
You can imagine how sick you can get of that after two fucking years.
Im happy you got a good deal!
mine were recommended by /budgetaudiophile they are really big on price to performance, so i trusted what the guy said.
Thanks! Loose contacts are so annoying. I'm surprised you put up with it for two years!
I did a bunch of research and Edifier is supposed to be good entry level audiophile speakers that don't break the bank.
Audiophile approved and they can be a bit snobbish.

@Orioncle haha, yep, they can be. my post got downvoted just for asking for recommendations on a good speaker upgrade that doesnt break the bank... which is the entire point of that subreddit. 🙄
I'm sure it did get downvotes. All the reddit posts I've seen regarding the Edifier's were begrudgingly approved by the audiophiles. So they are great in my book

Bought an OG PS4 bundle with a pack of games and 2 controllers... The best part it came with a 2TB HDD (it was advertised as 1TB), the 20th Anniversary Controller, Deadpool game (it has a good resale value), and RDR2 Special Edition.

I'll sell most stuff, keep the 20the Anniversary PS4 controller. :)

No stick drift, thankfully.

I never did remember last weekend to follow up, had a massive win at the flea market on Saturday, but also got lucky at a local shop two days earlier with other little finds in the week too. That first image has that. The anime stuff was with Slayers like $25 total for ($50/ea) in value of DVDs and Trigun is a quality boot that was cheap. A game shop got in MK7 paid retail, but the Four Score and cables were new sealed(still are) for $30 and $3 respectively which is crazy. They also had that shadowgate for 12. The SFC game I had mailed in been wanting it awhile as it's tied to that Neo Drift Out neogeo game and it's good.

The flea was a costly knockout. The 9 games (was 11, read on) were 80 (Samurai Shodown + Killer Intinct and the other games right/under it), the snes jack+ds grip were 5, and the antique toy was just 10. Inside is what went better, Ecco was just $15 a nice deal, The Win was Harvest Moon, talked it down from 340 to 200 +Godzilla and SuperC for the NES which were part of the $80 bundle. Star Trek was an online deal for 1/2 the going rate.

I never thought I'd have Harvest Moon again as I refuse to pay like 300, 400, 500 for a game, not happening and I'm thrilled as it was an old loss.

i seem to be the only one here spending cash like its going out of style..
I'm usually bundling my purchases because then there is something interesting for everyone and it's less time consuming to make pictures of the purchases.
But a few weeks ago I had the great idea to switch my CPU fan (it made some noises and it didn't cool enough anyways). But after changing the fan, the computer didn't work anymore. It had a CPU post. I found out that the CPU socket pins of the mainboard were bent so I had to buy a new mainboard. But now everything works again :)

Last edited by Technicmaster0,
first I tried to bend the pins back but that didn't help :/ they are so small and also springy. There is probably no hope if they aren't springy anymore :/
sometimes that actually works and if the pins break off, if you insert them in the hole and put the cpu in... that WILL still work.
Ive seen people on youtube do that exact thing.
... i still dont think thats a great solution tho!

Still trying to find a decent priced harvest moon and harvest moon 64. Everyone seems to want way to much or they have a repro trying to pass it off as a genuine copy and are selling them for way to much

Bought a few things.

On Steam I finally picked up Shadow Generations, Sonic Superstars and Hifi Rush as they were about the price I was willing to spend. Also got my mum the Sims 1/2 collection as a gift as it was one sale, know it's not perfect but it's what she wants.

On Amazon I bought another 1TB 2.5" HDD as I plan on using the previous one for something else.

I also bought a new 'router UPS' for my ONT because my previous one was starting to wear out, however the new one can also run my Ring camera as I was getting tired of constantly changing batteries and in the event of an extended power cut, I can run my ISP provided eero router for a few hours to save on mobile data OR charge my phone with it.

Still haven't had a chance to test it though, link for anyone interested:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Yuuki-Power-Battery-18000mAh-66Wh-Black/dp/B0FCSWRB59

Should note there are cheaper alternatives, however several had issues e.g. too low wattage, single output, etc. which is why I ended up with the above.

I also bought a cheap handheld keyboard as an alternative to the steam controller (or at least why I'd buy one):
https://amzn.eu/d/0fZa8vmE

However this does have some advantages over the steam controller such as a physical keyboard.

Also bought a new Fire Stick Max 2 because someone lost the remote to my previous one (they had one job and yes they are contributing) and the third party ones I saw had mixed results. The old one isn't going to be wasted though as I'll use that with my harmony remote so it won't matter because things like the iplayer no longer work on my Shield and the new one will be my 'travel stick'.

Inb4 someone says 'get an ONN' which isn't an option where I live.

Yeah I agree. Last copy I had before this was lost to me in 2005 due to hard choices with a mass sell off keeping the most important things (unemployment/underemployment) back around then. Seeing the price go where it went in 2012 since I just wrote it off, but luck and an overly reasonable discount worked out. I know I'll never have aerofighters again, no one is going to just discount that down from 1000 which is uttery asinine pricing.

Bought a physical copy of Cruis 'n Blast to play on my Switch 2 and it's awesome. Plus, it runs at 60fps on NS2!

You know, I thought this was released on PS4 and I was gonna pirate it, but it wasn't. 😅

Apologies to the UK people on here as I might be bringing up nightmares and trauma with this one, but this just came in from Severin:View attachment 579837

Wow they made a movie based on Facebook's threads? 😯

Bought during the Prime Day "sale": an air purifier for my hobby shed, some new 3M 6001 cartridge filter replacements for the masks I use when I airbrush, a 10-pack of cabinet latches for my dad, a 6ft XLR cable, a 5-pack of cat toys that have catnip in them, shoes for my niece (my sister wanted them), a bottle of gloss clear acrylic airbrush varnish, and a Fatal Frame II remake for PS5.

The game is not bad, but I don't find it scary at all.
