from what i read they did a pass with ai of the complete script and then corrected the translation manually, thats not so bad.
what i played of it felt well-done, so i dont mind.

I know they manually proofreaded the entire script after using AI to translate it, but even then, nothing will ever shake off evidence that they did use AI for this translation.

So much controversy about this patch that Hilltop, a well-known translator in the scene, even wrote a whole article against AI for fan translations.

Ive been waiting so long for this, i find it hard to imagine what could ever mar this for me.

If we'll ever get a fully complete English translation of Xenosaga I+II on the DS, it will probably be done with AI as well. Yes, there is someone working on it and is indeed using AI.

i love fantranslations.
Such a godsend. brand-new games for retro-systems and theres a constant stream of it.
Thats what i love most, by far, about the romhacking/rom-preservation scene.
