Currently no, not without running windows in a virtual machine anyway

Proper Wine support/handling is something that's being investigated atm (it currently works somewhat if u run modmii.bat instead of exe), but it might be too soon to be making promises

Nope, anything I did in the last update for improved windows 7 handling was bonus, it's still not officially supported anymore in modmii 8.0.0 or higher. But thanks for the offer!

I might be in need of some wine testers in the future though if anyone is interested...

Happy birthday to @XFlak and thank you for the configuration wizard.

I did the softmod using modmii skin. Some game backups work as intended but I do have issues with some games. For example in Twilight Princess +,- and home buttons just stop working as you get into the game. In No More Heroes I get other issue, on finishers motion controls do not work.
I've de/re-synced wiimote, checked that buttons work in other games, changed batteries.

Is there any way to debug this?

Syscheck looks good. I can only guess that maybe it was a bad rip or there's something hardware related going on. Try re-ripping your original disc and see if that resolves it 👍

Also thank you, but it's not MY birthday, it's ModMii's 😂

Welp, so far my guess was that it may be a problem with my backup or it could be caused by me running it from usb stick instead of SD card. But nope, did not work. I get the same problem with other TP backups, even if running them from an SD card. Thing is that this Wii was already softmodded like 10 years ago(I have no idea what I was doing back then), maybe it's some old softmod leftovers causing trouble. I will try looking into complete removal of softmods and redo the whole softmod to see if it helps. Newer wiimote will arrive a bit later, maybe it is an issue with wiimote somehow.

I have a small suggestion: When it asks where do you want to put all your files, SD or USB, it wants to do the same place for everything. I run all my homebrew apps in my SD and my games are in a USB Hard Drive. It doesn't affect me much because I kinda know where to put everything, but it might be helpful to just ask individually for apps, games, and covers (perhaps wads too). Like for someone who won't know the Controllers folder for Nintendont needs to be where the games are stored and not where the app runs from, for example.

Thanks. I love the program by the way!

if you guys don't mind, can someone please take a look at these 2 syscheck snippets and tell me what's the difference? a few months ago i modded my brothers WiiU/vWii from scratch using ModMii, then decided to refresh the homebrew on my own console (hacked years back without ModMii). however, other stuff came up and i put everything to the side and now i cant remember where i left off, or what exactly needs to be done, if anything.

so here is his, after mod:

Putting my SysCheck through ModMii right now only recommends stubbing 236.. that's it.. but my question concerns why 248-251 have the 'Trucha Bug' but are missing the 'USB 2.0' annotations. are these out of date? ModMii doesn't seem to think so, but should i reinstall those wads anyway? genuinely curious what's the difference here. thanks!

ok, so i've copied the full readouts (they were all by SysCheck ME v2.5.0) and as a bonus i've included my Wii U's older SysCheck from a few months ago when i began modding/updating these consoles, so it looks like ModMii did spot the lack of 248 and 249-251 being outdated, and i must've installed the new wads, yet for whatever reason the descriptions (Trucha Bug, USB 2.0, etc.) don't match his (or most people's i see lol).

i first hacked this Wii U's vWii ages ago, i think using SSBB, then updated it a few years back following Wii Hacks Guide (which would be this SysCheck right above), and now i was going through ModMii. is it a problem that it doesn't show 'USB 2.0' after those ios.. or the fact i don't have 'ES Identify' under ios248, but rather on 236, which ModMii recommends i Stub because, as i understand, it's no longer used/needed anymore?

Indeed it was an issue with old wiimote. Knock off chinese wiimote works fine. Don't be as impatient as me and check all the options before choosing something nuclear like fully re-softmodding your Wii.
