Hello everyone,

Today, I’m presenting hShop NDS, a homebrew project currently under development.

The goal is to provide a simple and accessible way to download DS and GBA games directly on DS and 3DS consoles.

Before continuing development, I’d really appreciate your feedback.

After testing the project, feel free to share your impressions in the comments (bugs, user experience, suggestions, etc.).

Thank you for your time and for helping improve the project!

(The project can be found by searching the name on GitHub)

(Wi-Fi on trains cafés and hotels works fine)
Eh..? Not sure what it's like in your part of the world, but around here wifi on trains, cafes and hotels are still secured with WPA2. And even if they aren't, they almost always have some sort of captive portal login.

I'm only hoping for this project to fail soon.

Like why? What's your reasoning.

Which makes it even better, because it shows how useful it is (?)

This project is good. Just happens to have some elements which we don't allow on gbatemp. Like the @TheStonedModder said with a little tweak it can be amazing.

Just release the source code / application, and like @Flame says, make it configurable.
If you bake in the piracy server stuff in the application, yep it's not allowed here.

I'm only hoping for this project to fail soon.
you have a negative response on basically anything I see, please have better community spirit...
I can block you, but that's just ignoring the problem :D

I can't see what link that person sent, but if it's about offering a frontend to download files, can't you just use Universal-Updater already and make your own private Unistore with your own files? I have no idea what this person is doing other than another piracy project, which by itself isn't a very useful thing in 2026, neither exactly cool.

People who do homebrew project normally do it to learn or for fun. If OP wants to create his own project for that. It is what it is.

I still have dreams of doing my own homebrew project for gba/ds one day. It might be the most useless project, like a clock or a calculator. But it is what it is.

You could do it pretty easily. Don’t hesitate to ask for advice on forums and use AI to help you understand your mistakes

You say the github page can be found by searching in google but I couldn't find it. There was an older attempt at doing the same thing but all the projects were archived. Also, there's the ghost eshop which also lets you download DS roms on a 3DS easily.
