Hello,

I've spotted an issue when launching the following homebrew apps from RetroFlow Launcher specifically:

Sonic SMS Remake v1.9.2
Sonic SMS Remake 2 v2.9.2
Sonic Time Twisted v1.1.2.1

When launched they all give error C2-12570-5 - if I then relaunch them from the open bubble they work fine. If I launch them directly from the PSvita bubble launcher they work fine. The error only comes up when launching from RetroFlow.

I am using RetroFlow v8.0.2 and my PS Vita is the slim (2014) version.
I am on custom firmware Enzo 3.65.
I have all my applications installed on an SD card mounted with YAMT.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so does anyone know of a way to fix it?

Many Thanks

Are there any other apps that are giving you a headache other than the listed Sonic games you've mentioned above? If not, it may just be a kernel in the Sonic games that are inherently faulty. Try some other apps and get back to us, we're here to help!

PS - I've got the HexFlow Launcher (but not RetroFlow Launcher). I'll try lighting up some apps and see if any of them give me errors, but none have before. Check back in this thread, I'll finish my vittles and see what I can see... :)

Ok dude, here's what I came up with. I downloaded all 3 games on VitaDB, all 3 worked from bubble mode, but only 2 of them worked from the Hex-Flow launcher, one of them kept giving me the same error that you had, C2-12570-5, I think that was #2, Sonic 1 SMS Remake. Please see screens below for confirmation, in no particular order...:

Ok so we're at ground zero here. While you are running RetroFlow, and I am running HexFlow, this is the common denominator. I'd be willing to bet that if you uninstalled and reinstalled the RetroFlow launcher, this would clear things up. Don't worry about all of your icons and having to fine tune anything, I'd be willing to bet that once you've reinstalled RetroFlow, everything would just fall right into place - but don't quote me on that.

I did try other apps as well, and all of them worked. I did not try all of them, but a handful, like just under ten. Point is, sometimes homebrews rub up against each other in a not-so-kind fashion. Most of them work just fine, but sometimes if 2 or more are being used in tandom with each other, sometimes you may get incompatibilty issues. It's amazing the Vita works as well as it does with all of the apps, games and other items that were never originally designed for it in the first place.

If this issue really bothers you, try reinstalling the loader. If you get sent back to the stone ages with the damh thing, you didn't hear it from me. That was some other cat! Yeah, blame it on Catboy, he's the one who fed you this line of drivel!!! ;)

Let us know how it goes!!! :)

Hi Dizzy_Vizzy,

Firstly thanks so much for your post and the testing you did on my behalf - its was way beyond what I was expecting and I'm really grateful for it :-)

So I had some time this weekend to look at this again and in answer to your questions:

* I have about 50 or so homebrew apps and they all launch fine from RetroFlow - its just these 3 that give me issues.
* All 3 work fine if I launch them directly from their bubbles - the issue only happens when launching from RetroFlow.
* I removed RetroFlow and re-installed it but no change sadly...

I wanted to try to contact the developer of the tool but they don't have issues enabled on their github.

I didn't want to go nuclear and wipe the whole PS Vita and start from scratch after the re-install of RetroFlow didn't work out. But I'm hoping to get an original PS Vita OLED just after the holidays so I can try to get RetroFlow and these 3 games setup up on there and see if the issue occurs again.

Thanks for your help.

It's all good chief, just don't let it drive you mad. Just remember that all my Vitas are 1000's, and I got the same error on 2 of them and didn't bother with the rest as I only have HexFlow on 2 of my Vitas, but I would expect the same results.

Nevertheless, if all of the other apps are coming through on RetroFlow, then I'd say the problem lies with the Sonic games and not RetroFlow.

Regardless, hve fun with RetroFlow because it's a great way to find a particular game quickly, and it looks cool AND sounds cool (I've got mine set up with custom wallpaper and custom bg music, very cool indeed)!

Take care, we'll see you in the forums!

- Dizzy
