Another delay has come for Grand Theft Auto VI. Originally slated for release sometime in 2025, it was eventually pushed back to May 2026, and now, has been further kicked down the road to its new release date of November 19, 2026. Rockstar Games cites needing some extra time to polish up the game as the reason behind the delay.

Grand Theft Auto VI will now release on Thursday, November 19, 2026.We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.

This Delay announcement comes on the heels of RockStar Union-Busting within their company.

Rough TL; DR- A number of RockStar Employees were recently fired from the company, all of whom were attempting to organize into a Union. RockStar's claim is that the workers were "Fired for Leaking Company Secrets to Outside Sources using Discord." But the truth is that RockStar is basically trying to hide their Union-Busting activities.

To be the nerd that I am, I'd argue that Duke Nukem Forever was in greater danger of not releasing.

Duke Nukem Forever went from that memorable 2001 trailer to radio silence. Then, that teaser trailer came out, and it was said to be a leak, not an actual announcement.

The GTA franchise, on the other hand, makes tons of money for Rockstar. They wouldn't scrap a project this large unless there were major development hurdles. Since they've made games of similar scope before, it's hard to imagine that they'd cancel a major GTA sequel outright.

TL;DR: I'm taking a study break, and someone mentioned DNF.
