Yeah, that's a know issue, there were attempts to fix it a few years ago but it didn't stick. Once the Aroma PR is merged perhaps ask the FBneo devs to look at it again.
About Ketsui and DoDOnPachi if its confirmed a WiiU issue on Tiramisu and Aroma then you should report it to the FBNeo git page: https://github.com/libretro/FBNeo
I have my roms on a normal (non-SSD) USB HDD and they work fine, is your USB HDD formatted to FAT32? I haven't tried a SSD so I don't know if there are any difference's that would cause the drive to not show up?
Hey ploggy, yeah the drive is FAT32 and everything else Homebrew/emulators ect works except RA recognizing it. I'm wondering if the capacity is an issue, it's a 6TB drive. I did try another 1TB drive same Western digital type drive with same USB cable I used on the 6TB and RA is able to recognize and play games from it just fine.

I use is nintendont loaded thru USB loader gx, I load in using the wii u usb loader gx forwarder. And also using not64 loaded from vWii. I wanted to try and use RA for everything else that I need. Mostly Gba, snes, nes and psx. I'm going to try and move my libraries around and just have (2) 2TB hard drives for back ups. Just wondering why all my other emulators are able to use the 6TB drive no problem.

I think it could be Aroma hasn't added support for HDD's that size? since all the HB you tested worked fine and they were vWii
To confirm you'll have to test a WiiU HB other than RA that uses USB HDD.

I don't know off the top of my head I tend to stick to RA these days, you can ask on the 4tu discord. you'll probably get more info there, or you can ask straight up if 6TB HDD's are supported by Aroma.
Are there any plans for retroarch to see games on a partitioned hdd? Using a partitioned 4TB drive, 2TB fat32, 2TB for WiiU games. Running Aroma CFW, for some reason the USB path isnt showing up in retroarch.
HELP! I tried to reinstall retroarch for aroma (again, because the first time i did it, the app worked, but now doesnt anymore... and i see the comment with the download link was updated few day ago). Now i cant boot wii u, that says:
"environment loader failed to load file to memory".
I noticed that, while moving cores' file on sd, 4 of theme was corrupted
HELP!

I'm not sure, I've never tried RA with a partitioned HDD? I could ask.

Can someone test the game Digimon Rumble Arena for PS1 to see if it works for them, someone reported it not working for them even tho it works fine for me? Thanks.
Sounds like your SD card has corrupted? you may need to format it and start again. you can try to backup what you can before tho.

Uhm... my sd card corrupted again... after using retroarch. Like the first time. I updated the core installed by retroarch (and everything else), then i exited... but the wii u is stuck to loading it. Then, i turn off the wii u, turn on again and go on retroarch... all icon was glitched (like the first time, moment before the sd was corrupted)...

How did you update the cores? did you use the Online updater? if so that's not supported with Aroma.. I doubt that would corrupt your SD card tho, but it would stop the RA Cores from working.

yeah, i used online updater... it seems fine. Indeed i used my wii u for months. Then today i retried to enter in retroarch and... sd card corrupted. Idk
EDIT: i think is retroarch because i can't delete retroarch folder in ssd card everytime i updated the cores... or is it a coincidence, idk

Oh are you on Tiramisu? I assumed you were on Aroma. I haven't had any other reports of corrupted SD cards using retroarch, but I have had corrupted sd card but that was from multiple sd card swaps due to heavy testing over weeks. (and being naughty and not always ejecting the SD card properly from the pc)

Using the Online Updater to update your Cores will overwrite Aroma Cores with Tiramisu Cores so shouldn't be used.
You essentially downgrading your Cores everytime you use it..
That would also explain why your icons are looking corrupted Aroma loads the RA Assets from the RA WUHB file, whereas Tiramisu loads them from the Assets folder from your Sd card..
So dont use Online Updater to update Cores after extracting the RA zip to your SD card and you should be good.

I tested the USA version with RetroArch 1.19.0.
I couldn't launch the game with the default core settings, but when I set the PSX cpu clock to 78 it ran without any issues.
