Guess I need to update. I installed Ryujinx over 2 years ago and used it fine, I guess ZA requires new firmware. When I downloaded Ryubing everything else loaded right away, saves, games.

To update firmware, what should I do (and backup) to ensure I don't screw up my install?

You don't need to backup anything. The firmware won't touch anything. Just grab the latest firmware and install it as normal. If something goes wrong, (which it really shouldn't), then it's no big deal. Just try again or download from another place.

Yes the issue those on emulators are reporting is it crashing out when the little bird shows up in the cutscene after leaving the train station.

latest version even with glichs or bugs just press a all the time
thwn when you are in the city to catch the pancham
go to ryu with the same save data

Doesn't crash on Eden. The workaround is using a starter save, or transferring the save to Eden, get past that cutscene, then move the save back.

I mean the cutscene get all glitchy with colors and shit like other guy said but after a while goes back to normal, so idk

not everyone on console has been able to find 1.0.1, and some people are using emulators which don't seem to work with it. Regardless, the build IDs are the same so it's a moot point.

this is not true, people have got 1.0.1 to work with emulators. working with ryujinx currently.
