Nintendo is going after more people who were involved in distributing Nintendo Switch warez and popularizing it on Reddit. A moderator, "Archbox", of the r/switchpiracy subreddit, is being sued by Nintendo for copyright infringement through distributing and hosting pirated Switch games. According to the court document, Nintendo attempted to reach out multiple times to the defendant, named James Williams, to get them to stop hosting "pirate shops" that would allow for seamless illegal game downloads from the Nintendo Switch console directly. Williams also requested user donations to help pay for the costs of hosting the illegal warez. Allegedly, after Nintendo reached out a final time with a cease and desist order, Williams stated a legal counsel would be in contact imminently, to which Nintendo claims never happened.

As a result, Nintendo is seeking $4.5 million dollars ($150,000 per infringement) from Williams in damages to their brand, as he was willfully breaking the law with "reckless abandon".

Most people live in an ignorance is bliss mentality because if you open your eyes alot of times that underground criminal organization can touch you in ways that the government cant stop it.

The key thing always to keep in mind if your fighting in defense of an ideologies there are usually alot of innocent people and in some countries being around innocent people can protect you without hurting innocent people. In some countries if the criminal organization has entrenched deep enough they are going to be able to hurt innocent people or take enough control of the domain and area where you might be entrenched to get to you eventually. Always stay aware and focused and keep your senses high.

When I talk about the criminal yakuza in japan and the culture of some of the yakuza's actions that have grown over the years and infected many big organizations in ways taht people understand i do so knowing there could be some evil repercussions of talking about those organizations but I am also in a safe space where I can speak for those who sometimes cannot. You cannot speak out against the yakuza in japan without there being a confrontation if you do it publicly.

I love how people seem so angry whenever I say that Nintendo is in their right to do something or whatever "slightly in favor" to Nintendo.
First, I think there is a BIG difference between suing for hosting roms (which I totally agree with. It's stolen work and I can totaly get why they don't want you to play their work for free (even if I download games, I totally agree with shutting down pirate sites)) and suing fan projects (even if they use your assets, your brand, etc. As long as they don't make money from fan project, I 100% disagree with suing them)

Secondly, even though I agree with shutting down pirate websites, jailing those who host them, I still consider these actions as 100% useless (Hydra)

And finally, I am not a Nintendo fanboy. I used to be one, but I finally opened my eyes. And while some of you seem to have changed of lens while keeping your eyes closed, you need to learn that Nintendo are not responsible for everything going bad in the industry.
