Anarchists do want a lawless society, but that doesn't mean it would be without order or societal norms. Law, in comparison to human existence, is a relatively modern concept, so the idea that a lawless society inevitably invites chaos and violence is a farce.

Ask any anarchist who isn't a teenage edgelord and they'll tell you they don't want violence and they don't want chaos. I'm not an anarchist myself, but I'm smart enough to know they're not terrorists. When I think of terrorists, I think of Nazis. There's no pussyfooting around Nazism's glorification of mass murder to achieve an ideal.
