It can be anything - game, book, movie, music, porno mag, etc.

My personal pick would be Duck Hunt on the Famicom.

_This_ moment right here is what I like about teaching; reaching out to a student with the passion of the subject and learning.

No Martial Arts can ever compare to that.

Please watch Stand and Deliver.

Lode Runner on Nitroswan. I guess any LodeRunner is pretty addictive as long you get into it, I like liquid feature where your movement may be slowed down or boosted in case of choosed overall. It's good to see it on PuyoPuyo2 custom color palette.
Somehow it reminds me magicWB icons for AmigaOS2.x, green watter also fits here nicely.

Already beat the game some time ago, but it makes me to play again, there's 5 worlds with 25 levels each one (125). I heard about 50 new levels for download option. I wonder if there's any save file that contain it.

As for the merch recet precure stuff seem to be pretty cool

Don't know how I haven't seen that, but will do in second! Teaching and reaching the students, IMHO, isn't so much about your passion for a subject/learning in general, but finding a relevant connection of that subject to the student, and then getting the student interested in learning it. Sad part is that, from my experience, majority of teachers don't bother with that delivery or overdo their passion for a subject without connecting its utility to the studends' current lives.
