I've seen a lot of threads about "the best games/favorite games/Games you already played or beat This/Games you already played or beat that" but not one about games you haven't or have yet to beat.
Not necessarily ones you're "interested in", but ones you've definitely grown accustomed to ensure you'll love but haven't beaten for some very specific reason outside of "looked interesting - Didn't feel like or have the money/time to play it/care."
One thing I've known about this community on GBAtemp is that users often contribute to a post in some fashion but don't really explain the lore behind it. For example: If the thread was about which of Dracula's castles in the Castlevania games is your favorite, often times we might get an answer such as "The Symphony of the Night incarnation was my favorite." but then the "why" is left out which can defeat a bit of the reading purposes here, as I can just throw out castles left and right but what makes it special and interesting to read is your unique reasons and circumstance that has lead you to this answer. I can't and won't police the replies but I just want everyone to know that I actually do enjoy reading the responses people make on this website about interesting topics for the most part and I try to contribute to those readers out there that enjoy the engagement as much as I do by also providing what I hope others will kindly provide for me to enjoy. I just wanted to mention this because I've noticed that it's a trend on GBATemp unless it's a heated conversation where people are arguing... Which isn't my interest.
Remember: Some users, such as myself, actually do enjoy quality over quantity. I'd much rather read 1 hour's-worth of a single, well thought out response that makes me think and enjoy what I read, than 1 hour's-worth of 400 small 1-word replies to a thread so that's why I try to really put effort into my posts for the users here to enjoy reading and engaging with.

I'll start off and name a few as well as why.

Dino Crisis
I've played this game for the first time recently but had to stop to start over. (Sometimes when I get stuck, and I mean REALLY stuck, the best option is actually to start over as often times if I'm ACTUALLY stuck like that, it's most likely because I forgot a very obvious mechanic of the game that I'm supposed to be using to progress.) I haven't beaten it since, though, because I haven't had time to do so.
I am absolutely in love with this game and I generally knew I would be since it's a CAPCOM game + it's very Resident Evil, which I also love however the reason I haven't played it was actually because I didn't necessarily NEED to. There are some games out there that, when we play it, we really want to go and find more games like it. Depending on the game and what exactly you're looking for, you may find more than enough games like it and that was the case with Dino Crisis. Still to this day I haven't gotten enough of Resident Evil 0-CV. (This includes Outbreak File #1/2 as well as Resident Evil Remake) This isn't even including other games I love that give me the same satisfaction so with all of these games satisfying this itch, I didn't feel it was a huge hole in my heart that I haven't played yet another game I've plenty of already without.

Castlevania Dracula X (SNES)
I honestly can't stand this game though I know it isn't necessarily "Bad" so I guess one day I will beat it but knowing that there's Castlevania Rondo of Blood as well as Dracula X Chronicles (For PSP) which both I HAVE beaten, this game isn't really high on my priority since the gameplay isn't nearly as fun or fascinating as its more polished incarnations. It is, however, the only standard Castlevania with Richter so eventually I'll beat it as there aren't many of these that are 1: Canon and 2: Not Simon Belmont as the protagonist.

Megaman X5
I got so close to beating this game but when I found out that the ending being "true" or not comes down to unseen random numbers, I was immediately disenchanted... Though to be fair, I didn't particularly like this game much to begin with compared to every Megaman X game before it. I practically defeated every boss and was at the end-game when I found that out and pretty much just put it down in exhaustion and decided that I'd "Deal with it later" and, unfortunately, later never came. There was so much tediousness with its bogus level design but I fought through to the end of it's absolutely unforgiving difficulty... Just to give up by a technical revelation. It's quite humorous when I think of it that way but it's the truth. I didn't enjoy whatever was happening with the Enigma, nor it being absolutely up to chance which ending I'm stuck with. Imagine having to play an unbelievably tedious, difficult in the wrong ways and way too long of a game that ends up not being THAT fun.... Just for you to MAYBE have to play it again (and again and again) because the game... Decided to give you the same (possibly boring) ending you've seen your three other playthroughs. The entire ordeal is simply discouraging to say the least so the moment before the decision of the Enigma was made, I went to the internet to see if there is anything I can do to receive the best ending and pretty much just ended the entire thing when I found out it's random. One day I WILL go back to it, but most likely after I beat it I'll look up the other endings online as I don't love this game enough to receive each one myself.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2+
I'll start off with stating that I've never played any of these games other than the first. I loved the first so much, however, that I am instantly attracted to the sequels! ... But that's where the problem is. It is going to sound strange but I actually DO love the first game SO MUCH that I just.... Can't get enough of it. I don't need MORE Ty, you see... Only more of the same Ty I fell in love with. Until that gets a bit stale or I desire more, there is no need for me to play the others (And potentially give the developers more room to possibly ruin Ty the Tasmanian Tiger (Or maybe enhance. No need for pessimism.)) but, of course, I will eventually as I do like the story and would enjoy seeing where it would go in the future games.

Aliens Dark Descent
This one is going to be pretty humorous... And unexpectedly sappy. The moment I played this game, I immediately fell in love with it, despite some technical game breaking (And even save-destroying) glitches. My save was never ruined, though, because when I was stuck (And reloading a save did not fix that) I would use mods to unstuck myself then save and continue without any cheating software, essentially fixing my save since I was on PC. Anyways, I got to the notorious end-game timer. A lot of people complained about this where it was even patched to have it as an option. I was and always will be perfectly fine with the timer. I think it's cool but it's also really nice that the developers added it as an option. Anyways I have a LOT of time left. I also mostly %100'd each part of the planet before this even happened so with that being said, I was NOT about to ruin my awesome streak! No timer would stop me so I continued the game as usual. I had more than enough time left... Until I %100'd the next area and there was another area after it. I was a little lower on my time so I decided NOT to %100 this area and speed through it - you know, before I as well as everyone else dies.
..... Until there was ANOTHER area after it! D: Now I was stuck. I physically did not have enough time to finish what I assumed was the last area of the game. Somehow I completely underestimated how many areas were left in the game. It really felt like that last one would be it! I just defeated some end-game boss and all. Are we STILL not done!? ... I believe I was able to speed through that one just in the nic of time.... To have revealed to me that there was another area left. Well, it goes without saying that I failed my team and we all got blasted off again. (Again as in the first time and now my save needs to be deleted.)
That's ok with me. I really enjoyed it! I'll go do it again any day.... Except now when I had the time my computer broke so I'm unable to play it at all as, currently, fixing it would be far too expensive. :( Bummer...

Silent Hill Book of Memories
Let me start this one off by clearing the table so I have space to put down my deck of cards: Firstly, I am a HUGE Silent Hill fan. 1-4 + PT (And 2 Remake) all of the way. I know all of the dirty and suspicious looks I'm getting right now for even putting this game on this list of ones I "want to beat" but the reality is... I REALLY like Book of Memories. It's not Silent Hill. It just isn't. It's a really fun game where you beat up monsters and join friends in rewriting your memories and making new ones. It has nice graphics and gameplay. Literally the only thing holding this game back is the fact that Silent Hill was greedily slapped onto its title. If we just pretend it's a non-canon fan game where you play as your own character and have your own unique Silent Hill-like experience unrelated to the main games, you'll find that this game is not bad at all! It's just an insult to Silent Hill fans that never asked for such a thing to exist in their universe but good thing you have to turn your Silent Hill-colored fan off because it's pretty ice-cold in this room right now anyway. With that being said, yes. This game is pretty awesome, even if it isn't Silent Hill at all and I won't even pretend it deserves to be called so. I got all of the way up to the second-to-last dungeon and stopped. The reason for this is because I was having issues understanding exactly how the memory rewriting system worked around the, like, second dungeon so I decided to look it up and it made sense to me! I played normally but went back to dungeons to get all of the different memory paths just so I can "choose" which one I think is best suited to the player I'm playing as. (If my memory serves, I just wanted to get all Light memories but I'm not sure what I was going for exactly.) The issue arose when the second-to-last dungeon I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to trigger the memory I desired. I don't look up cheats or guides or anything to a game I HAVEN'T beaten unless I really believe a game has been glitched and I'd like to confirm that or something of the sort. (Or in the case of Megaman X5, I simply don't like the game enough to have to redo something drastic because of a tiny detail I was ignorant to.) I know I'm doing something wrong so I decided to give it a rest at the time. I never went back to it since but I definitely would like to. This game is so fun! Maybe I'll just suck it in and get whichever memory and move on from this dungeon and do it after I beat the game so I can feel like an honest video game player that only looks up SOME stuff after I beat a game and did my best.

Yooka-Laylee
On the contrary to what I see everyone online state, I really did enjoy Yooka-Laylee! I didn't like how dark and play-dough the shading and graphics looked as is kind of common to lower-budget indie games or whatever but I still enjoyed the game, playing it as I would Donkey Kong 64 or something where I try to get as much stuff in the world as possible. However, I stopped playing when a few things happened. Firstly, I got far enough in the game where the level design felt just a bit stale, like I beat the entire big level just to progress to.... Doing the same thing in a different looking area. At least in Donkey Kong 64 or many of the similarly-structured Mario games, each new area feels so different regardless if whether what I'm doing is a bit similar or not. I wasn't sure how much I felt I'd survive if the entire game was just level after level of them all feeling the same so I sort of slowed up playing it. However, at some point I needed space on my storage device and I wanted most of my games. Yooka-Layle was a pretty large game for the system I had it on so I had to make a decision whether I wanted to get rid of this game or other games I cared about so I choose this one and never ended up going back to it. I will one day, though. (By the way, Yooka-Replaylee looks a bit too similar to games like Super Mario Odyssey, which we have way more than enough games similar to it, that I think I'll likely prefer the original Yooka-Laylee over it for being something more unique than what I can get literally anywhere else.)

Diablo 3
Ahh.. This game I saved for the end. Diablo 3 is quite grand of a story here. For a bit of back story, I absolutely LOVE diablo 1 and 2. 2 Resurrected is my favorite of all. (1, 2, 3 and 2R are the only I've played.) I've beaten 1 and 2. I was hype for 2 Resurrected when it came out so I played that and loved it. I skipped out on 3, however, because years before Resurrected was announced, I tried playing 3 on my Playstation 3. (The game was a few pennies...) I played it for a bit (And didn't really compare it to 1 or 2 at the time) and... Something just didn't click. 1 and 2 weren't fresh on my mind at the time so I didn't really know what it was but it didn't so I just put it away for years. Eventually I got 2 Resurrected and got back in to Diablo 1 and 2 as well and had so much fun all over. I remembered I actually had 3 (From years ago, of course.) but never really played it more than a short period of time. I don't remember what the issue was at the time that made me stop but I hoped it was probably me just being interested in other games at the time and it didn't quite click for me. So I turned it on. I even had a buddy to play locally with me.
.... Boy was I IMMEDIATELY hit with the STENCH that is Diablo 3. I was introducing my buddy to Diablo at the time so we played 1, 2 REPLAYED 2 with the Lord of Destruction DLC and then 2 Resurrected all in that order. That buddy knew Diablo at this point and the MOMENT I turned this game on... Mind you, I don't remember anything about my experience with 3 other than something I just didn't like something about it and decided not to play. I told my buddy that as a warning before I turned it on and made sure to include the bit that I don't exactly remember what it was that didn't click... and when something doesn't click for ME then, even years later, it was definitely a reason why.... And it most certainly was. The first thing we were hit with was the absolutely rank art style. We played for ten seconds and we needed a multi-hour Google montage of research on what the hell happened here before even actually playing! Well, from our research, it turns out that the geniuses at Diablo Studios (Or whatever) decided that they absolutely had riches raining on them when they designed Diablo which piloted the MEGA anticipation of Diablo 2 that was guaranteed (And fulfilled) to just break the camel's back, spine and all vital organs with more riches upon release, that they decided "Hm... What can we do to top the riches of Diablo 2? OH I KNOW. We can look at our other games we've made that give us even more ungodly riches - NAMELY WORLD OF WARCRAFT - and just.... Copy/Paste the art style from there so we can bank both Diablo riches AND the mega-successful World of Warcraft we milk even in the afterlife so we can be buried in riches to the moon!" and then we have this abomination-sight that is Diablo 3. This game is plain ugly. Of course it's all my opinion but I DO NOT like World of Warcraft and I never will. It's unfun plus it's also everything I DISLIKE about the video game industry today so that's "nice". Ontop of that, I'm not a fan of its art style. I loved Diablo's very dark and gritty setting and atmosphere. Instead, they just threw that out of the window with this obnoxiously cartoony fairy fantasy style that is Diablo 3's art direction so even if this game was the best game in the series, it's already distasteful just by looking at it the moment it's presented to me. Of course my buddy and I decided that's ok. It's just a stupid art style and we can still love a game for what it is, we just need to give it a chance so we do.... FAR too many chances than it deserved. We literally get to the END of the game. Now before we even got there, this game's story is so boring to both of us compared to the easily comprehensible and tense story that is 2 and the straightforward story that is 1. (Which hints on a more in-depth story here and there through the in-game books) The gameplay, especially with everyone being ranged by requirement, pretty much, and weapons being useless outside of just holding it for "Stats" to boost the power and stat numbers of your skills... It's was very wrong in so many ways that made things unfun for us and, unfortunately, I fell asleep while playing multiple times in our sessions. So often, in fact, that I requested my buddy to continue playing without me IF I fall asleep and just recap a bit of what happened when I woke up and I'd do the same... If I had the ability. (It's on local play so we're on the same system - Same save.) It started happening too often because the game bore us so much and was simply unfun that I decided to finally call it quits right before the game ended and said that I couldn't take anymore of this torture. We were so invested on at least beating it but to be honest? Blizzard (Or whoever made it... Diablo Studios I guess. XD) made not caring to do so pretty easy for us. They made the game take place many years after the events of 2 that it doesn't even matter much what happened afterward. They SPOILER - Killed off any remaining Diablo characters we loved anyways and, worst of all, we find out that Diablo 4 is pretty much just a massive multiplayer online service game that takes place even further in the future. The service thing already doomed my interest in ever playing it so in conclusion: Not only does anything after Diablo 2 not matter story-wise, Diablo 3 is unfathomably boring and ugly and Diablo 4 is an online service game. (That's like telling me that I need to play Umbrella Corps. to get the full Resident Evil story because it shows some Umbrella operative training. I'll pass on online-service games no matter how imperative to a story they are.)

I hope you enjoyed my stories and I look forward to yours!

I've yet to beat persona 3/4, because JRPGs are longer than the lifespan of an average human.
LOL I have to agree with those types of games being so unbelievably long. It doesn't help that the gameplay often times AND FOR VERY OFTEN TIME require players to battle enemies.... For the sake of leveling up to progress. It's ungodly long while at the same time it's padded further with repetition for the purpose of making it even longer.
When it comes to those games, I just pick and choose one for a period and not worry about trying to EVER beat it but when it does happens it's nice. Often times I steer away from games with massive ongoing series of games because I'll want to play the rest and it'll take many lifetimes to do so.

Banjo Kazooie/Banjo Tooie
I've tried to pick these games up on multiple occasions. I can play through Super Mario 64 tons of times, but these games never seem to stick. Every single time.

I start to get into the game, but I drift to something else quickly. The problem is that I start them with the intention of 100%-ing them, and by the first few levels, I've already burned myself out. I think there's something inherently draining about that mindset, but the Banjo games are notorious for being packed with collectables. Their reputations precede them, and it's hard for me to just play them naturally.

It's funny because I'm a huge fan of Rare. Back in the day, they helped elevate the N64, when most developers and publishers migrated to the PS1. Without them, I feel the N64 library would have been much less celebrated, though Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time were generation-defining masterclasses by themselves.

EDIT:

There's a fan patch that makes Mega Man X5 a bit more reasonable. One of the improvements is to the Enigma:
Enigma/Shuttle RNG exceptions:
  • Enigma/Shuttle launch with no parts will always fail.
  • Shuttle launch with all 4 parts will always succeed.

super mario deluxe gbc
I beat super mario and super mario lost level in the wii u using save states and that felt like cheating. so, I beat them in the all-star wii version beating every level "legally". when I realized that the deluxe version is the best version i was already burned out. The game is inside the gba waiting for a rematch. to be honest i wanted to beat every 2d mario platformer in original hardware but im missing mario land and i dont want to move to the next game till i beat mario deluxe.

pokemon pearl DS

I wanted to play one of each main series gen game in original hardware (if that makes sense), i played yellow, crystal, sapphire, firered, jp emerald (even though i have the american version, wanted to try the masuda shiny hunting method, only to realized that is only possible from gen 4 and up) and then i move up to pearl, got tired. it did not help that i was catching every pokemon of every route on all games i played.

Okay... Interesting thread. My first thought was that I see my game collection more as a buffet than a challenge: I've got an infinite amount of 'food', so why try to cobble one specific one down? Perhaps it's also fatigue and more responsibilities irl. Like... So what I've abandoned like 400 quests against bad guys threatening the world? I already know how to kill someone in a video game... The thrill wears off.

Second thought: i play mostly puzzles and' infinite' games. When have you 'beaten' a virtual board game?

Third thought... Here are some from my yearly list (2025)

Donkey Kong bananza. Love it. But right now my daughter uses it as a way to explore and wreck everything. While we do play together, she's 5. We can't head into tough territory; we can barely climb AND have the camera face something important. ;)

Overcooked. Simple: this is too hard to do alone, daughter is still 5 and wife wants to get good but we fail proper communication. And that's not even a shame as you need to be both real gamers to work.

Towerfall. Yes, the game is really about the melee pvp combat, but i just like the campaign(s). But like Celeste, this has that smooth 'difficult but fair' thing going on. Arrow fights are awesome, and getting to play as Madeline is more than a little heartwarming. :)

I have so many... I'll stick with three that are more interesting than "I got bored with it/distracted by other games".

Final Fantasy 7: Got stuck at one of the ultimate weapons, rage!quit for a while. Then the memory card corrupted (it was one of those third-party "multi-card" deals that had a button to swap between fake cards) and the save was lost forever. Still haven't gone back to seriously try again.

Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 1: I actually have beaten the game recently, but nearly didn't because I was originally playing on my VitaTV, and several things happened:
  1. I had jailbroken my VitaTV for obvious reasons, but forgot to move the saves and the original saves were deleted
  2. However, I had "backed" them up via saving them to CrossPlay, but when I went to access them I was refused access...
  3. ...which is how I found out my PSN account got banned at some point between when I last saved it and that point.
After all that I never bothered going back to the game until I got it on the PC, whereby I did finally get around to beating it a year or two ago.

Fallout 4: Will probably never finish because the actual game is hilariously broken and buggy as fuck, plus its just plain boring in the worst way: it gets me in an infinite loop of finding stuff in the wasteland, then coming back and adding a bit to a settlement - rinse, repeat. That's not fun; that's work that I pay time and money for. Already slogged through the previous numbered game, and Bethesda only shat on the lore and setting further with this one, and 76 (which I haven't even bothered picking up, nor will ever get unless there's some mod that uses it for something actually fun). Using it as the base for Fallout London, though, is a much better alternative.

ASSASSIN’S CREED VALHALLA

I actually do love the series and the first bit of this game I enjoyed but then it just got boring to me and I haven’t played it since. Maybe if I re-download and give it another go, I might go to the end but yeah the interest disappeared the first time around.

Fire Emblem Three Houses – love FE, just have so much of a backlog elsewhere that if I try to tackle this as well, things will fall apart.

Pokemon Violet – again, adore Pokemon, but this game...it just doesn't grab me. After Legends Arceus, I didn't find what I hoped for.

Shin Megami Tensei V – liked it, but just let it drop off my radar. It's an SMT game, a JRPG, so I expect it'll need a lot of time when I do want to finally crack it.

Ace Attorney Dual Destinies – I adored the games leading up to this one (haven't played the translated Ace Attorney Investigations yet) but I find this title just alright so far. It's missing something, not sure what, but I'll get round to it eventually.

Zelda - Tears of the Kingdom

I've watched the Ganon battle(s) on youtube, and my ass would be handed to me so badly. They made the fight like a DLC boss fight in difficulty. (Plus, I'm still maxing my rarest armors in the game.)

It's a challenge but not Dark Souls level hard. Just make sure you have some blight curing potions (I forget how to make them now) to cure whatever damage you've sustained on your way there and cook some bananas for their damage bonus.

I get this pain. When I was a kid, I tried 100%-ing Kirby's Dream Course on the SNES. The game had been short (and the final boss was simple), and I was trying to get the most out of it.

One day, I loaded up the game and all the saves were gone. I stared at the screen in disbelief for a moment. It had been a trial getting the gold medals in the courses I had done, so that was the end of my Kirby's Dream Course career.

for me its always some kind of accessibility issue, i always used emulators, but then the games would either run like shit, or windows would update and dolphin performance would go to shit, which is why i never finished mario sunshine for example

in 2019 i got a second hand Wii, i modded it and put a shit ton of games on my hard drive

issue number 1
the hard drive stops spinning after a while making the wii freeze (this doesnt happen on my pc or xbox 360)

issue number 2
its nearly impossible to find original wiimotes/nunchucks or any controller to play GC games, i bought some bootleg controllers and the wiimote ones work like shit, the classic controller one had fake analog sticks and died in a week

now a silly reason, i never finished kirby and the forgor lande because i started playing sonic superstars

Absolute heaps of em because 9/10 either that end game RPG grind, or sheer repetitiveness ends up getting to me.

As an example, never finished ANY Ass. Creed games for both reasons.

There's also a very fine balance of keeping things engaging through to the end instead of having some end game plateau that you'll muddle about in if you skilled/cheesed your way to that point. Side missions being generic also never helps with any of this.

That said though, Kingdom Come 2 was a phenomenal game where combat and perfectly allowed cheese basics king, heheh, from the very beginning to the end over levels or skills. Progression is getting more and more into the story and arguably fun side quest vs hitting stupid levels or gaining gear or skills. Sandbox with a solid story backbone is probably the best setup of any kind of game for me aside from racing or fighting titles.

I've actually enjoyed Pokemon Legends because it just let you skip leveling if you didn't feel like it and got "good" enough to berry bury your over-leveled new prey to just keep things moving along.

Is it feasible to just make some kinda battle fortress to melt him away, or game stops you from taking toys into the final arena? BTW, one thing I really liked with BotW was the fact that you could skip the castle approach almost entirely by flying and climbing the back of the castle.

Outerwilds might be my most notorious. Got some unknown length in, played 8 hours total. Really love what I played, but I realized a little late that I wasn't in the mood for a game like it at the time. Hoping to return to it sometime next year maybe, once I've worked more on my 2025 backlog (I'm behind on that..)

Original Deus Ex; it's just so old and clunky that I could never bring myself to play much of it.
Crash Bandicoot remakes - too difficult.
Final Fantasy 7; I actually did get through most of it, but there's just way too many minigames and side-activities that I eventually lost interest in playing more.

Trials of Mana remake; don't like the art style, and the story never grabbed me.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes; the Warriors gameplay got tedious, as did having to replay old missions so much. Plus, I've been sick of Fodlan for quite some time, so that didn't help.
Super Mario Galaxy - motion controls are bullshit, none of the Stars were fun to collect, extreme linearity in Star acquisition order and 3 HP limit (decreased from 8 in preivous games) are nonsense. Couldn't beat it as a kid, traded it in, and never returned.

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Stylus-only controls; enough said.
God of War 4; reached the lake, too many things to do, wasn't really having fun as it was so I just lost interest.

The one that still eats at me: original StarFox, because....it's hard as balls (for me anyway). Anyone ever beaten it legit?

Most games aren't a challenge for me. If I had to add something I have been working on it would be some bullet hell games such as do don pachi daioujou. My goal is two loops deathless which is crazy. Another goal would be to do rockman no constancy for the NES no damage.

Final Fantasy 8:
I wanted to enjoy this game, i truly did, the vibe, the music, the setting all looked right up my alley, but the gameplay was just not for me, it's too convoluted for it's own good and it essentially boils down to you either grinding triple triad at the start and become OP or roll with the punches knowing you'll be punished for grinding in the long run.
I've seen so much love and defense for this games combat in recent years, but i simply just cannot wrap my head around it regardless of how hard i try, and this is coming from someone who enjoys chrono cross a lot.

Xenoblade 1 & 2:
I know this might shock alot of people but im sort of well known amongst my friends as the gal who just don't enjoy these games, It felt very bloated in terms of world design, just all of that space with almost nothing there, the story was kinda boring as well as the combat, and the pacing was pretty sluggish, and i considered picking up the 3rd game to see if maybe, just maybe i would be hooked and convinced to go back to the other 2, but then i was i told it has a 30 hour tutorial, whether it's true or not i will not bring myself to find out.

Final Fantasy 15:
i think my disappointment for this game mainly stemmed from leftover hype for Versus 13, nonetheless the final product feels overall not for me it feels like a skinwalker of remnants of versus 13 which makes alot of original elements feel out of place or arguably vice versa, it makes me wonder why they didn't just make this in it's entirety it's own game.

as for the combat there isn't much i can say other than it does a good job gaslighting you into making you feel like you're playing a video game

Sonic Frontiers:
the game was just very repetitive, controls were very stiff and overall it was a chore to play, i put it down after a second shot at it as it felt like at a certain point i was forcing myself to enjoy something i clearly didn't enjoy

It's a challenge but not Dark Souls level hard. Just make sure you have some blight curing potions (I forget how to make them now) to cure whatever damage you've sustained on your way there and cook some bananas for their damage bonus.
Yeah it truly isn't that difficult as someone who did it with the WW shield, outset island shirt, hairtie, and leather trousers.
with food any fight becomes more than doable, i understand that ruins the challenge for some which i can understand completely, but if a fight really becomes difficult that's always an option to flip the difficulty on it's head
