PETA has sent a letter to Nintendo requesting that the nose ring be removed from Cow in Mario Kart World

The latest entry into the Mario Kart franchise added a number of unique characters to play as, including being able to race as one of the cows from the Moo Moo Farm track. PETA has taken offense with a choice regarding Cow in Mario Kart World, however, and has sent a letter to Nintendo's president Shuntaro Furukawa asking the company to make a change to the character. The animal rights group explains that nose rings on cows are cruelty, and they shouldn't be featured as part of the character's design.

We know Mario Kart World is just a game—and that’s exactly why Cow’s nose ring needs to go. Mario Kart is supposed to be a fun escape, not a reminder of the painful tools used on cows in the meat and dairy industries. No one wants to think about animal suffering while zipping around a race track.

PETA has made a number of requests to Nintendo in the past, advocating on how Animal Crossing: New Horizons cultivates abusive behavior towards fish and insects by capturing them and putting them in a museum, and in 2012, even made a parody flash game decrying the violence of the Pokemon series.

why is peta still in existence?

they should've been shut down years ago when they were exposed for murdering MILLIONS of pets every year

PETA needs to die so hard.

I don't understand about got mad over video game and they are not real.

I heard UK has problem with pro-vegan protests at groceries.

They're untouchable, nintendo couldn't do jackshit to remove the pokemon parodies they made, vuce versa, they probably didn't answer any of their idiot requests.

Animal rights just not allowed or? We have moved past the need to slaughter animals and keep them in horrifying conditions. Obv PETA not the best but veganism is the future…
They are trespassing and grocery manager had to wait on police to remove them.

Nose rings are put on cows so they don't eat every greenery, not to torture them. Sure it leaves cows having a hard time eating by themselves, hence why it is not done with cows that feed of grass besides grain.
Tell me you know nothing about farming without directly telling me you know nothing about farming. That is not at all why nose rings are put on cows. Just like that is not why nose rings are put on pigs.

Thought you guys were joking with the "parody games" 😛

I'll say it once I'll say it again both PETA and collective shout needs to be on the terror watch list

And? Fuck the police anyway.
In the stateside, protesters deliberately block the area meet with violence from customers and as for reason, protesters find out that staying with police make them safer from angry customers.

As meat eater, I'm not interested in debate about veganism and have protesters are last thing that I want to deal with it, especially at private properties like grocery. I don't care about protesting on public properties and that is their rights to do it.

Exatcly, it's not in order to torture them and I've seen very few cows that do have nose rings

That's cause with the nose rings they cannot just eat grass and so on from the ground, so is usually not done unless you have plants around you don't really want them to eat.

also to control for example bulls. Few places can control a raging or angry bull like the nose

If PETA actually cared about animals, they would stop all this nonsense that is, as it seems, done purely for media coverage and attention seeking and ACTUALLY do something to help animals like opening quality shelters, helping people pay for spay/neutering operations and adoption fees, or even helping with wild life conservation efforts.

Honestly, I never have seen a shred of news of them doing something positive in my life.
