A new port of Rick Dangerous has come to the Mega Drive/Genesis courtesy of Z-TEAM.

This version is a back port of the 2008 Wii version by Magic Team in 2008 and the Amiga remake by Z-TEAM (Domkid - Troudki in 2023) which comes with enhanced graphics and the best part... Free! (although donations are certainly recommended of your own price)

It has been reported as running on real hardware with Everdrive and download can be found at

Interesting, I've never heard of this game, but I'm intrigued. I'm going to be downloading some free games off itch.io later today (if I remember), I should probably grab this too.

It's a great game... Some would disagree lol

It's one of my favourites from childhood, originally released in 1989 and very popular on Amiga, Commodore 64 etc. It is challenging and this port plays real well however the face lift makes it feel more fun for nowadays players lol!

I second that it's an awesome game the programmers later went on to make Tomb Raider and if y'all play Rick Dangerous you will see how it influenced Tomb Raider.

So finally got around to trying the Megadrive port on my 3ds using picodrive. Rather bizarrely it crashes on boot unless I load any other game first which is a bit strange lol. Anyhoo it's a great port and has brought back many memories.

That is weird... I'll give that a try on the wee mans 3ds 2moro see if its replicated.

The strange thing is I just downloaded the OH Mummy Megadrive port (Another game of my childhood) and it does the exact same thing. I load picodrive I select oh mummy and the 3ds crashes but if I load picodrive then select any other game and then change rom to Oh Mummy then it loads.
