First time owning a Wii U after the Switch, pretty much all set besides Virtual Boy lol. Better than I thought, immediately hacked it, installed Aroma, Tiramisu (not much use for it now), backed up the NAND beforehand and the vWii IOS WADs. Played with UWUVCI injections as well.

I can't for my life figure out why the gamepad won't be detected by GenPlus GX.

I use this forwarder for GenPlus GX: gbatemp.net/threads/wii-u-to-vwii-forwarder-channels-ac.618060/

- I understand that the forwarder reboots into vWii and boot into GenPlus GX through the Homebrew Channel (which works as well).
- Also figured that I cannot use Bloopair under vWii (or can I ? For Switch Pro Controller. Would buying a Wii U Pro Controller work (I could probably do with a Wii Classic controller otherwise) ?
- And unfortunately, Nintendon't does work with Gamecube controller, but I understand that I cannot use the Gamecube controller on Brawl or Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 by any means I know of.

As of right now, I'm stuck with a Wii Remote for GenPlus GX and Wii64 while I'd rather use the gamepad or any other controller (Switch Pro Controller or Wii U Pro Controller if not possible).

What am I missing ? (I thought this may have worked under Tiramisu but I don't know)

Regards,

Forwarder is just a shortcut, if you plan to use any 3rd party controllers not natively supported by Vwii, you need the emulator to support it, not Aroma, not vWii.

As long as I know, most these emulators support wiimote+nunchunk/classic(pro)controllers and Wii U pro controllers, yes Wii U pro, out-of-box.

For controllers supported via bloopair, as I mentioned, it is in vwii, and bloopair is under Wii U side,so it does not work.

However some emulators do support gamepad as controller, though it will not work using an Aroma .wuhb forwarder, you need old/wup format forwarder for gamepad to work.

Oh ! This could be why ?
I do wonder, I installed GenPlus with WUP Installer ( gbatemp.net/threads/wii-u-to-vwii-forwarder-channels-ac.618060/ ) the gamepad should have worked, but I'll try again later I suppose.
