I think I'm developing a split personality.
On one hand, I bought a switch 2 and even bought some discounted eshop games (ahem...Mario kart world is nice, but it's not a solo game). Also got Mario world wonder 2nd hand from the internet.
On the other hand, I bought steam keys for about ten bucks on steam summer sale(1) and twenty more bucks for a fanatical bundle.
If it sounds greedy...just say it's like having two children.
(1) at side duscussion: feel free to replace it with "steam summer long-term rentout service". Have it your way.
Lol I actually did the same thing I also bought some eshop game at low price like Blade of darkness, Death's door, both Guacamelee, all Tales of, World of FF and more...
By the way did you know that The Last Remnant Remastered has never been discounted....not even once on eshop since released ? Weird...
So I took this one and another rpg called Cosmic Fantasy Collection 2 because strangely the english version has never been shared online, you cannot find it anywhere unlike the first compilation... so both around 20 euros exceptionally are my only big purchase on eshop...
And I also secure some big physical titles (for me) like Suikoden, FF7/FF8Remaster, Tactics Ogre, Mario Rpg, Baten Kaitos, Unicorn Overlord...
Persona Tactica was at 9 euros (?) and Bayonetta 3 at 17 euro during summer sale also . The thing is not all of them are exclusive at all and I even already have some of them on steam but having them physically and in portable mode with some boosted performance (for some of them) kinda attract me I guess...
As for the free upgraded games, I already had Mario Odyssey, I just bought 3D World and both chibi zelda. And it was not a bad idea about echoes of wisdom, the game doesnt work with last updates using latest atmosphere....I know you can play it using "launch at original state" fonction with goldleaf by example but still...
Actually even Zelda Bow and Tok seem to be blocked now and stuck at load screen since Atmo 19.0.1 but anyway I just dont like this two game particullary so no buy for now on my side...but maybe others should secure this ones at some point on switch 2 just in case to avoid this recurrent compatibility problems...
So yeah Im also throwing some money right now like a potatoe but as long there is no big update from the console who can block us from buying low and upgrading freely by connecting to the eshop, it might not be a bad idea to put some game aside before having to definitly turn off Internet on console.
Side note: Of course I bought Suikoden physical compilation for Switch 1 version (even if stuck at 30 fps), not the useless plastic card for Switch 2!!!
