I'm not sure about saying ICE has no jurisdiction with US citizens but honestly, ICE agents are sworn law enforcement officers that has arresting power to everyone who violate the federal law. If you impede the ICE operation, you can be arrested by ICE agent and taken to federal jail or federal contracted county/city jails, but you wouldn't taken to immigration detention center unless they questioning your citizenship status and they have too much discretion.

I do understand about frustration with immigrant's rights organizations but you cannot impede their ICE operation and they will intensifying their operation, and DA could ask the judge for you to be sentenced to years in federal prison.

It is best to organize the election drive to show that president's policies and ICE are too overreaching and their power should be limited or curtailed. If you able to win the control of the Congress and they could refuse to fund without concessions, so it will weaken the ICE when their agents are unable to get paid, so Trump and the Congress would end up get deal to avoid total collapse of ICE. The Congress has unlimited power about where funds should go and they can withhold the funds.

Ultimately, Trump would realize and understand the Congress, so he would end the fight to prevent from chaos with federal agencies.

I despise Tom Homan and he has zero compassionate with super confusing immigration laws, however the Congress would need to fix like make easier to issue the work visa. When federal immigration issues are resolved, Tom Homan wouldn't have any room for political stunt and he could end up retire and go quiet instead. I do believe that democrats and republicans wouldn't have any issue to agree with work visa.

I'm not surprised about Kamala lost the election and it was expected to see Biden loses the election for second term presidency for first time since Jimmy Carter lost the election in 1980. It was too little, too late and most voters who had problem with Biden, started to tie Kamala with Biden.

Voter turnout for democrats are down because of upset with Biden over Israel-Gaza conflict.

Some of them are related to economic like Nevada got hit hard by inflation and life in Las Vegas is already hard. Voters either voted for Trump or stayed at home. Jacky Rosen won the senate race and Trump won the presidential race.

Election in 2028 and 2032 are very unpredictable and it would depends on multiple factors. I don't think that realignment is going to happen but voters have their different priorities, so independents are on fence, either tilt to R or D.
