Unironically, Trump may of accidentally caused a left word ratchet globally. (Which was once a Right wing ratchet globally)
How? By being as terrible as he is and as open about it, as he is. Germany is calling the AfD party extremists. (investigation was done, and that was what they were deemed. Essentially triggering the countries anti nazi laws/protections.) Which to remind you, Elon supported said party.

Australia I'm not sure on what specific on why they reversed course, but I'm going to assume they took one look at the states, went "I don't want that" and then looked at the other candidates, saw a Trump light and went "I don't want that."
