Noodle adventure continues. Found a different shop selling quattro cheese flavour as a single pack. Apparently not as hot as the normal cheese one I've had, but people seem to prefer this one.

I've never tried that one before. I've had the normal, the 2x heat, carbonara and the curry one.

I've had the normal, 2x, & normal cheese one. I've got a carbonara one, but I've not tried it yet. I want to try the curry one, but I'm not sure if it's discontinued. Not seen it in any local shops and all the online ones that I checked are out of stock as well.

I've been looking at their chicken flavored hot sauce with apprehension. I kinda want it but I'm kinda scared.

In the meantime I got these spicy chicken flavored almonds, which are pretty good (but fucking hot) so maybe the chicken flavored hot sauce could be good (but fucking hot).

I have a pretty big Asian grocery store that I can go to on my way to work; I sometimes buy lunch there before work. They sell them in packs of five. I haven't bought any in a while, so I might have to see what they have. For other noodles, they have two pretty big aisles, and then another smaller one near the cash registers.

Pre ordered Capcom Fighting Collection 2 on the Switch, primarily to play Power Stone, but I'll surely also try the other games.

And know what, it's $40, not the ridiculous greedy $90 that some are trying to charge for their games.

Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro
Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001
Capcom Fighting Evolution
Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER
Power Stone
Power Stone 2
Project Justice
Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein

Project Justice is one I've always wanted to play and Plasma Sword looks a lot of fun, too. Capcom Vs. SNK needs no introduction, it's a classic.

I just wish they had included Tech Romancer as well, but oh well.

If they make a NS2 print of it it better not be GKC. 😑

Many thanks to @Xzi for reminding me.

That's rather one tiny pie.

Not a bad deal as a NS1 Lite is worth more than a PSV (depending on the model and edition).

I bought a DS TV tuner, and teardown.

Another compilation of the things that I bought since my last compilation here (or to be more precise: the highlights). This time I decided to split different categorys into different images for clarity purposes.
20250505_151921.jpg

Let's start with the games. Warhammer Vermentide II is the game that Durango Dumplings requires to dump XBOX ONE games. The other requirement is to have a specific XBOX menu version and the gamescript app, which I also have. Conclusion: I can dump XBOX games now.
Two other additions are WarioWare Move It and Another Code Recollection for Nintendo Switch. They've been on my wishlist for a while and they were on a sale. Additionally I want to buy the "must buys" before Switch Cartridge Production might be stopped (there's probably still 2-3 years time but one has to start somewhere).
Next is WarioWare D.I.Y for Nintendo DS. It's one of I think 2 games that use NAND saves. I'm kind of curious on how long the cartridge will work. At least now I can make a backup. Also, it's probably a good title for compatibility tests.
Since I have an Analogue Pocket and a Game Gear adapter, I now got my first Game Gear game: Castle of Illusion.
Last but not least I got 2 Game Boy games: Moorhuhn 2 (a popular german franchise in the early 2000s) and Mortal Kombat I and II. This one is interesting because it uses the MBC1M mapper.

The next category are movies. I'm still watching more movies than I play videogames (and I'm currently playing snowrunner... 100h playtime so far so not much time to play something else). I decided to go 4k wherever it's possible (and makes sense). So I upgraded Back to the Future 3 Movie Collection to UHD and I imported the Spider-Man original trilogy in 4k. Sadly the dubs have lossy audio formats. For Spider-Man 1 and 3 I managed to sync it with the better audio track from the blu ray release but no success with spider-man 2 yet. My observation so far is that the UHD is much more grainy compared to the Full HD release. Not sure what I prefer.
I also imported puss in boots: the last wish as 4k. I think that this one really deserves the UHD disk. Similar to spider-man, I also took the dub from the blu ray and put it into the uhd file. Sadly there is no local UHD release of this movie.
Speaking of UHD releases: this is another release where the UHD was released with inferior sound encoding for the dub. I think that for animated movies, it doesn't make any sense to watch them in english if it has a good dub (generally speaking).
The UHD has a french Dolby Digital 5.1 track while the blu ray has a german Dolby Atmos track. Why is there no space for things like localized Dolby Atmos or at least lossless audio tracks on a UHD disk? They have enough space on the regular blu ray... (to be fair: I don't have an atmos sound system. It's stereo).
I also got the crank UHD. crank 2 will get a rerelease as normal blu ray soon. Sadly the original print was faulty and there are no replacements available. I wonder if there will be a crank 2 UHD at one point.
Hanuman is an indian movie that I imported from japan. For some reason Japan is the one country world wide that gets most new indian blu ray releases. It only features original voice (5.1 DTS-HD MA track) and sadly only japanese subtitles, but with a bit of work other subtitles from the internet can be used as well. And the japanese releases by twin are high quality encodes (but I think that sometimes the source material is not high quality): the movie usually is around 40GB on disk. The maximum for a blu ray disc is 50GB. They really use the space they have.
Another indian movie that I got on blu ray is Dunki. This one features SRK and thus gets a local release. Sadly they don't care as much as twin about encodes. The audio track is limited to a lossy dolby digital 5.1.
Hagen is a local movie from last year. I haven't watched it yet but I want to watch a few more local movies (especially ones with an interesting premise like this one). Very happy that it got a UHD release and it was even pretty cheap (around 25 bucks in comparison to 30-35 bucks for american movie releases).
Another import was into the badlands season 3 on blu ray. This is an american import as it didn't get a local release (the first 2 seasons got a local release). One disc was very dirty but overall I'm happy with it.
Last but not least in the movie category, there is the 3D blu ray of Mission Impossible: Fallout. A local label started to release movies as 3D blu rays and I'm pretty happy about that. They are more expensive than other blu rays (about 25 bucks) but usually feature german and english dolby atmos sound. For some movies, it's the first dolby atmos track available world wide. You will probably see another of their releases in my next post here because they recently released the mario movie on 3D blu ray. I think that it's the first international 3D Blu Ray release of that movie.

I got 2 new controllers but there is not so much to say about them. Sony DualSense and N64 Nintendo Switch Online controllers.
20250505_151952.jpg

The last category is for "random stuff". I got a new console: an original GBA. The screen is original so it's hard to see stuff under almost all light environments. But I mainly got it to update the EZ-Flash Jr. for the Analogue Pocket FW and for link cable play with the analogue pocket (that works).
For flashcarts, I got the EZ-Flash Jr. It's now on the beta 1.05 version and works with my AP. Overall a decend GB flashcart but the menu is a bit slow. Nothing too crazy. Also, I think that the internal battery for the RTC and the save memory drains pretty fast. I'll probably take it out of the card if I don't use it for a while.
The other flashcarts are the DSTT Gold (the one with the update plug), a r4sdhc.com r4i V2.10T and a R4iSDHC Happy Box V2.0 from r4isdhc.com. Not sure how good they work tho. They were sold as new on ali but they seem to have light corosion at the contacts.

That's the main things I got in the past months. There have been more things but they're not as interesting.
