It's clearly an active section of the website which would generally (and will likely be) a benefit to the website now that an admin has put their foot down on the hate speech and pro fascism.

But also the tariff situation and how it's impacting the pricing of the switch 2 is an instance where politics and gaming do become intertwined.

LGBT+ people existing in games is considered "political." Those kinds of small issues make a purity spiral when it comes to outright banning politics. If you don't like politics on the forums, just ignore the section.

Console price discrepancies are sadly a political topic that needs to be discussed. But either way, plenty of waes to deal with the main issue in this thread and its up to our almighty ruler to do so.

I don't think communism should be treated the same at all. Of course the Soviet Union committed atrocities and many mistakes, but communism is not defined by the Soviet Union for it has existed before the URSS and exists today in many different forms, unlike how Fascism is defined by Italy under Mussolini and Nazism by Germany under Hitler.
Communism isn't even inherently authoritarian.
There are millions of communists in the world and most of them aren't apologetic of the current/historical implementations of Socialism and recognize their mistakes.

Fascism/Nazism/Communism are equally bad, when someone says "what's wrong with fascism?".....that's a red flag, a very bad one. Unfortunately I get why people would support those ideologies, I, personally would never, however it is quite sad that some do. All those ideologies have killed so many people and changed the lives of many more, so of course it should not be tolerated.
