Hi @SilverJolteon , just chiming in to tell you that this tool is amazing, thank you so much.
I used it to get the DLC for my 3DS MHXX english patched version. As far as I know, this is the cleanest, easiest way to do that.

v1.3.2 Changelog:
- Shoutouts are now able to be transferred between versions.
- Exported saveslots now include shoutout data. Blank shoutouts are set to default english values.
- 3D and Circle Pad Pro options are now retained when converted, Brightness and Rumble are set to defaults for switch versions.

.saveslot files are for the individual slot exports, to load your system file, click on 'Load Save' at the top of the page. It can be found by right clicking on your game in Citra and clicking "Open Extra Data Location", then navigating to the "user" folder.

Yes, this tool works both ways. The only version that has not been implemented yet is MHXX Switch.

Yes, you can convert between all versions of MHXX and MHGU.

Hey there! First of all, thank you so much for making this tool. This will help a lot.
However, I am having one issue. I backed up my XX 3DS save via Checkpoint and put it on my PC. Then used your tool to convert it to a GU Switch file. Loading it up once gave me a message about the save being corrupted. It restored the save and crashed the emulator when I tried to load it, but worked perfectly fine on the second try, which I then saved again after I got in-game. Now after converting the newly saved Switch GU file back to XX 3DS and importing it back via Checkpoint, I get this funky crash when I try to load it on my 3DS. Happens right after selecting "Continue" on the title screen. I am using the english UI patch and the extended english patch for dialogue, so I'm not sure if that might have anything to do with it.
Any idea what I did wrong?

Worked fine for me, just to make sure, you are on the latest updates for both games, right? 1.4.0 for both? Attached are the files I tested.

I am on the latest for both. Tried your converted saves and didn't crash the Switch emulator. But still crashed my 3DS when trying to load the GU Switch to XX 3DS file.
Definitely an issue on my end then. Gonna try to see if it works better on a different OS or if there are some hidden permission issues for me or whatever.
Still glad to hear that the 3DS file by itself works, so thank you!
I'll message again should I find out what the issue is.

Yeah alright seems to be a Linux issue. When running the converter from Windows it all works perfectly fine. Sorry about that, and thank you very much for your help!
Now I can play GU with a friend and convert the save back to XX 3DS whenever I play alone. Best of both worlds.

Mint 22.1 and Firefox. Genuinely no idea why it doesn't work. Windows 10 with Edge worked fine. Good thing I kept that partition for Wilds, since it now helps me with this too lol

I'm not sure why it wouldn't work, especially the file that I sent over that I converted myself. I'll do some testing in Linux later to make sure everything works as it should.

What exactly happens when you try to save?
