Project Animated GameCube Banners for USB Loader GX

Hey All,

I've been working on a collection of custom animated with sound Banner files for displaying GameCube games in USB Loader GX.
They are Designed to work in both 4:3 and 16:9 ratios.
I've tried to stick to largely official art assets where possible to create a feeling of if these were released officially.

Its currently for only 99 titles of the Gamecube Library largely based on what I have installed on my Wii. If people like these I may revisit this and work on creating more. However I have provided the template for anyone to create their own banners incase I post this and never look back.

Installation
1. Download the latest release attached to this post or my GitHub
1. Insert your SD card into you computer, and navigate to: "SD:/apps/usbloader_gx/cache_bnr".
2. Once your in this location copy your .bnr files for your region (currently only PAL and NTSC-U) to this folder.
3. If it asks you to overwrite an existing file just click yes. All thats going to do is replace replace the old banner with the new one.
4. Eject your SD card, and insert it into your Wii. Once you've done that, open USB Loader GX, and you should see the new banners.

Customization
1. A Template folder has been provided, you are free to modify and use this as you wish and to add new games not included here.
2. All PNG files can be modified as you wish, however its best to leave their canvas dimensions the same especially for the "gameLogo.png"
3. CustomiseMii can be used to create new game WADs and then ShowMiiWads to extract the banner file.
4. If you do create new banners for missing games please drop me a message so I can merge them with the main repo!

Disclaimer
WADs are provided on this repo for you to view and modify. They have not been tested in anyway on actual Wii hardware and should not be installed on your console via WAD manager. I accept no responsibilty for bricked Wiis!

Hey CheeseBurgerwithLove! I initially used WADder_Base_3.wad from the CustomiseMii github as the base before modifying.

Since I was only building these out to be banner files and not functioning WADs I never changed what it was trying to load.

If you'll ever create more, I'll definitely download it (hope you'll create banners for games I have). Only one small thing: could Gamecube logo on top be a bit smaller? It wouldn't block out so much artwork...

Amazing job! Thanks for sharing this.

If you accept suggestions, some banners that (IMO) would be great to see that way are: Gun, Tales of Symphonia, Skies of Arcadia Legends, PoP The Warrior Within, the Baten Kaitos games...

Also, take a look at what this guy did here: a custom url to download the banners from USB Loader GX itself, falling back to default url if the banner isn't available in the repo.

Great job on the banners! I have one problem though: the Pac-Man World 2 and 3 US Banners are wrongly named, so I changed them to what it matches them (GP2EAF for Pac-Man World 2; GP8EAF for Pac-Man World 3), but other than that, amazing job!

I'm currently working on a couple of banners using this template, namely Crash Nitro Cart and Tales of Symphonia. It's taking me a little while though, because my laptop which is able to run image editing software isn't able to run the customizemii software (it's an ancient Mac), and the only pc I've got is a media centre I can make it work by moving files back and forth, but it's not fast

I need suggestions for tony hawk's underground 2 and American wasteland. I don't play these games myself but from what I understand, there's like a playlist rather than a theme? What would make sense to put as the "jingle"?

I'm currently working on games that start with B, so it will be quite slow. I got a lot of GC games to do.

I've been sitting on more than a few banners that I've made with this template for a while now (and when I mean a while I mean I made them two days after this thread was created) but I never bothered to share them, until now.

I've forked the original repo on github so you can download the ones I've made from there. I tried to keep the quality as close to the OP's as possible, sometimes the game logo slightly gets covered up by the GameCube banner sliding in from the top but I am not bothered enough by that to change it. These are all for games that I have on my HDD so I more than likely will not be taking requests.
