Send a save of the location with issues and how to reproduce it, without a save i can't replicate anything here, i won't fix anything that doesn't have a save and screenshot/videos attached.
Here is a video of the strange shadow behavior. It occurs randomly with the 4k mod and it is difficult to reproduce too. I'll save it right at the point where it happens but when I reload, it no longer can be reproduced. Despite that, I find I can get the shadow anomaly to start again pretty quickly when I keep running around in the relative area of my save location in the city area--usually within 5 minutes. Additional information: Using latest Citron on windows with RTX 4080 Super + 14900k, xci bundled with update 1.0.1, tried 6GB and 8 GB DRAM, 1X scale, using only 4k mod, accuracy level of Extreme, async shaders off. The issue can occur anywhere, but it definitely seems more common in the relative area of my save file starting location--mostly during the day.

About FPS drop over time on Citron.
Have same problem, in about 20 min in game it drops from 60 to 56, but thats not all, in another ~20min drops to 48, and then to 40, restart emu fix it.
I try with [60FPS (60-30FPS Cutscenes) v1.0.1] and [60FPS (30FPS Cutscenes) v1.0.1].
Only way i can fix it is disable [Auto pickup collectibles] mod, test for ~2hrs and no drop.

Seems Sudachi now runs Xenoblade. I haven't tested it yet.

Disclaimer: I don't own the game and don't have hardware to troubleshoot this.

I "made" this code from ranma99vn's first auto-pickup code. From looking at the assembly, my guess is that it seems to completely bypass the distance check. This is why it picks up EVERYTHING, and it cannot be altered for distance. ranma99vn has since made another code (the one quoted, not shown here) and it includes a modifier for distance.

The problem with the version I "created" is that the code is performed in-place. There's no room to add anything else, you are literally overwriting existing assembly. It works because because your only changing a small part.

The original and updated versions ranma99vn created use code caves. That is, he finds a spot in memory that is open, and tells the existing assembly to go there to continue executing, and he can write as much as he needs and returns to the original code after. It's an easy way to expand functionality for code that that was never intended and 'wont fit' in the original assembly. The only problem with code caves is that it can't be in use with another code that uses the same code cave. The original code didn't even require a code cave, but I think that's just his thing or the tools he was using. (or alternately, maybe I was just lucky that moving it out of the code cave 'just worked'). I think ranma99vn initially used the same code caves for all his codes, which is why they conflicted.

TLDR; That's all to say, I think ranma99vn made a new code list that made all his codes use different code caves so they would not conflict. You might want to check his more recent posts to see if any of them work.
thank you. found the post: https://gbatemp.net/threads/xenoblade-chronicles-x-cheats-and-mods.668404/post-10613202
Need to replace the speed x2 or x3 from that post and everything is fine

Hi

Quick question. Does anyone have a solution to this kind of shadow problem? I've already tried a lot of things. I'm wondering if the problem isn't just with the emulation in general, or even the game itself (I haven't watched any gameplay on Switch).

It's not that annoying in-game/cutscenes, but I'm just asking.

I also tested it on Ryujinx (which is generally more accurate than Yuzu/Citron for this sort of thing) and got the exact same thing..

Desktop Screenshot 2025.03.25 - 15.27.30.41.png

Edit: Problem solved. The shadows come from the fact that I was in 2k mod + 2x.
With the 4k + 1x for example, the shadows are no longer there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Emulators don't do Master Codes. Since master codes are normally always on, emu's don't mess with them and you just enable the cheat or not, no master code necessary.

I tried multiple solutions for this one, even the xci/nsp conversion etc. but i think this is the reason, after i saw your post and then tried it, nearly 2hrs in didn't exp the 48fps slowdown when it supposed to happened 30-60mins around that time every session.

if i try to use exp or dmg mod without master code, game just freeze on loading saved game

Strange. I have no other mods or cheats inthat post... Or maybe... Its messing up with some others cheats, cuz i have only All Fashion cheat. Will try to disable it.

Regarding the previous post I saw about QTE speeds not increasing at higher morale levels, I believe that they are correct. Here's a comparison video with no mods verses with the "[60FPS (30FPS Cutscenes) v1.0.1]" mod. To reproduce simply hit the QTE prompts until your morale is maxed and then there should be a speed difference. At max morale without any mods the QTE is faster than with the 60FPS mod. Obviously it's a very minor thing, but it is a bit trickier to hit the QTE without the mod as the timing changes as morale increases. Again, not game breaking at all and I want to say thanks for all the hard work you put into making the mod.

Soooo. I think this is it. Some cheats make game drop fps after a while... Disable only one cheat i had (All fashion unlock) - and no drops. Im satisfied now ^_^

Can you upload the save so we can reproduce it? This is easy to fix if this is what I think. I prefer to have as much original timings as possible

Can confirm this. But never bothered me, just a little easy mod)

Here's the saves I was using. It might be easier to use your own or another's since how far into the game I am, it wasn't always consistent getting enough QTE prompts without dying or before the enemies died.

Seems to work for Ryujinx as a cheat - I couldn't get the others to work and this is the first hex code I've made so I'm only about 10% confident I know why it's working :)
