I already did it work on my Wii, so doesn't seem to be something "stupid".
My Wii is with USB Loader GX r1281 (latest). Already cleaned all files and tested a fresh install.
HD with 2 partitions, 1 Fat32 for GC e another NTFS with Wii.
Nintendont already installed, and working OK. (Identify all my games and every one that i tested worked OK).
Using phisical GC media already work.
I configured the folders inside USB Loader for GC files, and USB Loader find and list all Wii AND GC games, with covers OK.
Wii games load ok. But GC games on USB Loader stuck on "copy to SD" menu.

Keeps asking me to copy the GC game to SD card or to erase SD file.

Any hints of whats's happening? My Wii was updated before the motherboard failed and the technic that check it changed the motherboard. So i'm not sure everything is updated.

What's bothering me is that Nintendont work, so the emulation itself is working. Also Wii games on USB Loader also is working. The problem seems to be only that USB Loader isn't forwarding the GC USB game to Nintendont.

The strange is that during my 3 hours testing, sometimes some games loads OK from USB Loader, after that, not.

Some hints? Everything i found about that problem is 10 years old related to versions not updated.

Thanks!

Hello,

why not make a single FAT32 partition of your external hard drive and put your Gamecube and Wii games on the same partition.

please post a syscheck report here to see if your CIOS,IOS are installed correctly.

FAT32 is limited to 4GB file size. Some Wii games has 7GB+ size.
At USB Loader GX i changed options to "multiple partitions" and the games are loaded OK. And also works with Nintendont finding it. If i'm not wrong the first one is FAT32 (to better recognition) and the second is NTFS.
It's better than the old times with WBFS partition LOL

As i said, the board was changed last year, so i'm reconfiguring things to work as expected (Lost all my Wii save games that was inside my old board).

Fat32 beeing limited to 4gb doesnt matter. If isos/wbfs files are too big, you can split them. Wii Backup Manager does that automatically for example :)

Thanks for the tip, but using NTFS wish ISO files is simpler and not need to use an app to add / move games :D I'm using two partition just to use the same disk for GC and Wii, before using for GC my entire disk was formated with NTFS.
or use @XFlak Modmii to update your syscheck, just drag and drop your syscheck report into Modmii and it will tell you what to install.
I used Modmii on my Wii before the "board transplant" (6.6.2 at the time) but being very sincere i don't like the fact that the v7 it's being marked as malware for Mozilla, Microsoft and Google together.
So considering that right now i didn't have a PC to "risk it" i prefeer to wait some patch or correction on that behavior.
Considering that the version 6.2.2 doesn't have any "flag" as i open it to test and check for viruses without any flag, something on version 7 is triggering the AVs.
or look here for your problem ==>
The problem with these links (i read them all before posting here) that all is related to SD card games or "black screen" or the program crashing.
My problem in this case it's that the USB Loader itself is flagging the need to copy to SD (USB Loader doesn't let my games being load from the USB drive) but everything else seems to work.

I will try again the version 1272 to confirm that Nintendont works as it is now (using the actual CIOS), after that i will download the update to test the version 1281.

You shouldn't be using ISOs. They contain a lot of unnecessary padding, most Wii games are less than half the size when converted to wbfs. Many games are only a few hundred MBs when converted. Super Paper Mario for example is 400 MB. And Wii Backup Manager takes care of file naming, splitting wbfs, and even downloading covers for you. It's much nicer than having a folder full of ISOs with inconsistent filenames.

I understand that. The point is that i bought an 500GB drive just for Wii, at the beginning i use USB Loader with WBFS folder so half of the drive was available. I formated the drive, made a 120GB for GC, and when i was to use Wii Backup to shrink i saw that all the Wii games that i want, in ISO mode, didn't get the free space, right now i have 80 or 90GB free space, so right now i didn't see a point to shrink files instead to just plug and copy it, eEven my FAT32 partition has 40 ou 50GB free.

If that was the case, yes, i agree that WBFS would free some space.
