After I boot the game it plays normally for 5-15 minutes until it freezes. I tried disabling dma reading to see if it could stop the game from freezing but it didnt do anything. (I'm using the latest version of twl menu fyi)

Chief, formatting the entire SD with perhaps hundreds of roms installed seems excessive to me. Maybe he is right and it is an objective issue. Has anyone tested the game thoroughly? It may be an anti-piracy feature of the game. 🤔
I mean, obviously you're supposed to backup the files before you format lol

to figure out where the problem is we have to rule out the sd card being the problem, because a lot of issues with games is because of the sd card being used. and this is a popular enough game that if this was an objective issue, it would be known about

flashcarts used to sometimes have issues with some games depending on the microsd card too, it wasn't a lot of games and most flashcarts didnt have problems but it was there. nds bootstrap is even more sensitive to sd card read/write than flashcarts were, and sometimes the only solution is to try a different card

The boy says that the game freezes after 10÷15 minutes of play, not immediately. I don't see what the SD card has to do with this.
Rather, it looks like an anti-piracy measure, like other similar ones.

incompatibilities don't necessarily mean it has to immediately freeze

it would probably help though to know what platform twilight menu is used on, if it's 3ds or dsi, sd card or flashcart, and stuff like that. because I'd test here, but if I dont have the same setup then my testing wont mean anything

and also, is it usa rom, or is it europe rom, and if it's europe rom, is it the western europe or the nordic europe rom, etc

also: https://tcrf.net/Super_Scribblenauts#Anti-Piracy

deliberately crash during gameplay sounds like what is being experienced here... but then it also clears your save data, and it doesnt look like that is a problem here?

again, ensure both nds bootstrap and twilight menu are properly updated. twilight menu doesnt include antipiracy fix anymore, you need a newer version of nds bootstrap to have the ap fix now. but then if the ap fix wasnt working, I dont know why it would pass the first layer of ap, and why objects wouldnt have the random adjectives applied from layer 2

Its the latest version of both twl menu and nds bootstrap (afaik since the anti piracy warning doesnt appear before booting the game), it's on a flashcard, it's the US ROM

You need to follow the steps in the flashcard kernel section of this guide then:
https://wiki.ds-homebrew.com/twilightmenu/installing-flashcard
Which flashcart loader folder is the one I need for my flashcard?

Not really sure why
You have nothing to lose by installing it then. You'll be gaining better game compatibility after you installed it.
You can still set which flashcard game loader you want to use per-game, in case you want to use cheats and/or nds-bootstrap's in-game menu for screenshots or other features.
If you still want your flashcard to autoboot to TWLMenu++, just don't copy over the "R4.dat" and "TTMenu.dat" files from the "R4i-SDHC YSMenu" folder.
