I found out about GBAtemp through a Game Freak hacking post and I decided to just join because this website seemed cool.
(oh wow, more then 1,000 views? never expected that.)

Way back when, I don't remember whether it was my DS Lite that I was looking for information on flashcarts for (ended up settling on an iTouchDS for my first one) or with modding my Wii, and I think a Google result or some mention on a Youtube video or something ended up pointing me here. 2009 kind of a long time ago though so my memory is kind of fuzzy

Either way, signed up, had some helpful discussions, and a few shitposts later... here we are!

I dropped by here daily for new release gba rom links for several years, starting around 2002. The links were open then. I probably learned about the site from a rom channel on newsgroups, but I don't remember for sure. I only registered an account when the rom links went "hidden" and you needed an account to see them.

Literally the day when Wii U and 3DS online was shutting down and so much were switching to Pretendo. I think I registered when I wanted to ask for help getting Mario Galaxy running from hard drive on my Wii, but I'd already visited the site before to learn stuff about a previous system without signing up. I'm assuming I found the site via Google.

I've never had troubles getting SMG to work on my Wii with a hard drive. Works just fine with USB Loader GX, as long as you have cIOS correctly set-up and everything.
