I prefer GBC Donkey Kong Country over the SNES one. There's a nice charm to the semi pre-rendered, lower res 3 color sprites. It features unique music too, going for a more melodic tone compared to the ambient music in SNES.

Oh. I always forget this port had predecessors.

Thinking about playing them when I get home. Considering I had multiple dreams about a made up DK game with green gameboy graphics, this shouldn't be far from it.

The dk land games were sort of separate tho, since they had different levels and that stuff

I don't understand why people like TellTale games so much (Walking Dead, Batman). All you do is press the correct button when it flashes on screen.

Either quick time events or taking a choice that will have no effect in the plot anyways

I played it today. Felt weird at first having a more floaty jump and seeing a completely different level setting after another but I got used to it and I had fun. Wasn't expecting new animations for swapping kongs and I heard a new awesome tune too.

I need some gameboy-appropriate portable device tho. Playing on a laptop screen doesn't feel right even when I resize the window.
