I mean, technically if you are running 18.0.0 and you try to play Splatoon 3 right now it will go straight to 19.0.0 anyway.
why? everybody is free to do anything they like, but, why? if is no need to do... please, please after you update DO NOT POST ASKING FOR HELP ABOUT TROUBLES YOU WILL FACE, AND WAIT UNTIL THE GURUS FIGURE THEM.

What I'm saying is that when you are running a old firmware and a game requires a newer firmware it will never update to the minimum version required, it will always update to the latest.

The automatized process, on a NON HACKED console, yes that is what happen.

But no today on a HACKED console! if you today go to the latest firmware you will have LOTS AND LOTS of problems. today is safer to upgrade to FW 18.1.0.

@impeeza is right on this one, people shouldn't jump the gun and update to 19.0.0 on a CFW Switch considering Atmosphere is still in prerelease. I would sit it out and let stuffs get updated before updating to firmware.

Beside playing Splatoon 3 online on CFW is stupid even though splatoon has it own online server.

Splatoon3 require 14.1.2 Update 9.1.0 require 18.1.0 the update was released on 12 September 2024 so was not FW 19 at that time.
That's usually the case where a Splatoon update coincides with requiring the latest firmware, but not this time. As of yesterday, the game requires the latest firmware even though the game hasn't been updated in quite a while.

Anyway, i updated minutes ago and am able to connect to the servers again.

Since it involves server obviously it requires latest firmware if you want to play online.

Well, related "issues" are for AMS 18, not for firmware 19.0.0.

So if you upgrade to 18.1.0 and AMS18 you'll have same issues.

@Hayato213 @josete2k @impeeza

Thanks for your answers. And sorry for insisting on the issue with the Super Mario 64 port.

Best regards.
The NSP needs to be rebuild from code because the new atmosphère and firmware behavior, you can build SM64 as a NRO by yourself look in to the tutorial https://gbatemp.net/threads/building-sm64-for-nintendo-switch-from-sm64ex-alo-repository.652092/ and then use https://gbatemp.net/threads/gui-for-nsp-forwarder-tool-for-12.588018/page-17#post-10516248 to create a forwarder

Hello,
I tried som title like Gas Pumping Simulator or Crow country, on Atmos 180 + latestes sigpatches + fw 19, those titles check online if they can be played and doesn´t work. Using Atmos 171 + older sigpatches + fw 1810 no problem.
Best regards.

Missing nocntchk patch maybe?

Try with sys-patch and disable the skip firmware tab.
