18.1.0 keeps crashing

18.1.0 keeps crashing After about 10 to 15 seconds any help ?

are you hiding PRODINFO (to remove your serial number) & is WIFI enabled on your switch ?

→ then you MUST use DNS_MITM and/or 90DNS to block Nintendo servers. Without that, your switch will crash everytime WIFI is enabled.

having an almost similar issue, mine just crashes randomly.

when i go to homebrew to use jksv i get a random crash with black screen, when i try to overclock, random crash, black screen when i try opening album to go to homebrew and close it out, random black screen crash. its been happening alot more lately since ive updated to 18.10. so i'm not sure whats going on, everything is up to date and up to par, sigs are fine, fuse is fine.

So how do i do that

First you can disable WIFI on your Switch, to see if the switch doesn't crash anymore.

if it works, 2 ways :

the "easy" (quick) way → configure your WIFI with 90DNS :

• primary DNS : 163.172.141.219
• secondary DNS : 207.246.121.77

the (not that) "hard" way → use 90DNS (easy way) + DNS_MITM :

1. move system_settings.ini from atmosphere\config_templates to atmosphere\config
2. open atmosphere\config\system_settings.ini, go to line 55 (; enable_dns_mitm = u8!0x1), remove the semicolon in front of it, then save the file
3. download emummc.txt and put it here : Atmosphere\hosts
4. relaunch atmosphere
5. done

then don't use youtube on your hacked switch
(a working switch without youtube is, IMO, much better than an unstable/unusable crashing switch)


more seriously, I don't know if there is an alternative for youtube when using DNS redirections. But since Atmosphere 1.7.0, sadly, you can't hide PRODINFO without blocking Nintendo servers.

Alternative : do not hide PRODINFO

EDIT : it seems there is a patched youtube NSP which doesn't require to login to Nintendo servers...but you will have to find it yourself (I don't have it, but even if it was the case, it's against GBAtemp rules). Just use "youtube nsp patch" on your favorite search engine.

I've put my switch on "Plane MOde" and the crash dissapeared so i want to make this steps in order to use SysNAND, but i don't know the "easy" way, to modify my WiFi is on the main console, right? The emuMMC could be deletted now?

3. download emummc.txt, RENAME IT sysmmc.txt and put it here : Atmosphere\hosts

Ok, i will check the remae to sysmmc, i think forgot it. I will use both, currently i'm without wifi and i'm banned but for some updates across wifi i can handle it.

EDIT:
I've checked and i had one emummc on hosts with some ip/dns inside, i've put both of them, "the original" and the new one sysmmc. About wifi i've make a new connection and now all seems to work fine, i'm not getting crashes at the moment.
