Wooden shell maybe? ;D
That would be really cool honestly.

Another thing I’m thinking of now, if the unlock switch is supposed to have wireless. A aluminum shell might just break that feature as well.

My aluminum Joycons don’t work with amiibo anymore for the same reason, and they definitely have less wireless range

I can't buy this game cart in my country and thought I would try to use the Mig for this.
And get your console banned just for that game? Better check if your Switch is unpatched or not and go with either sofmod (if possible) or a modchip. It'll allow you to run CFW on your Switch, allowing you more control over your system than this flashcard probably ever will. MIG Switch and alike are mainly for running game backups you made from the games you own (and maybe a smaller privately shared dumps among you and some other people/friends who are willing to share their games with you and vice versa, provided you guys know what you're doing in order to avoid getting your consoles banned).

Nintendo copyright claimed a video by one of the most wholesome youtubers, Retro Game Corps, not because he was showing how to backup your own games using the Mig Switch dumper, or how to play your own games on an emulator on PC, but for showing 3 seconds of one of their games' tiles on his Switch's homescreen. Bob Wulff just put a video up which I'm sure will suffer the same fate.

Hi there, I have an issue where the ROM.xci file for one of my games will not dump using the mig switch dumper. I tried on Linux (steam deck) and 2 separate windows machines. It just gets to 7% and the linux say file not recognized and windows just stops recognizing the dumper. I can dump the other 4 file for certs and keys or whatever. If is was to acquire the ROM.xci file from the high seas and combine it with the certs and stuff I can dump would that work in my legit switch using the mig switch card.

or can someone point me in the right direction?

Game is Pokemon shining pearl

What do you think:

Official Announcement Regarding “ The Team @OpenMig

We came across a post that caught our attention. We’re not sure who this team is. It could be a direct competitor messing with us, or it could be a completely separate group—anything is possible. After some private exchanges, they shared a significant portion of the code with us.
What we do know for certain is this: the lines of code shared are indeed correct. Their intentions are clear:
—they want to publish the files online. As we've always said, we’re not worried about competition, and our solution is open source.
Out of curiosity, we offered to send them a sample of the UnlockSwitch PBS and asked them to test their file on our product. We’ll see what happens.
We don’t have any more information about this team. We have no connection with them, either directly or indirectly. All we know is that the sample is supposed to be delivered to Russia.

Haha cant you see that they are trolling us?

Unlockswitch dont want to deal with legal issues and have said that they will not publish firmwares them self.
Only provide hardware.

So convenient that there is ”another” team right now when the hardware is done that wants to publish a open source version of the MIG😂😂
And of course unlockswitch sends samples for them to try their firmware on.
Who wants to bet against me that it wont work 100%.
And of course they are from russia also😂😂😂 (where Nintendo cant touch them)

If you think that this is 2 different teams then go back to the rest of the sheeps.

This is a cover story to protect their asses from Nintendo. A really bad one, they could have just released it anon.

OpenMig is their software team that are going to release firmware files….

Mig Switch 1.15 FW released, supposed to fix some problems with the dumper disconnecting

Change log: 1.1.5: Fixed issue in mig dumper when drive could end up suddenly disconnected at some rare occasions

Big N finally got my Switch. I used public dump files but I can officially confirm that they can detect and ban MiG games using common certs. Not a surprise, of course, but just adding the data point.

Were you playing those public dump games while online?

Nope, never even connected to wifi with the MiG inserted. I did update the games without the cartridge in, not that it matters since the cert is still transmitted. I do think that some of the dumps were "incomplete" before that was identified as an issue. My recommendation is making sure anything you play has all 5 files instead of just the 2 that would technically work.

but the ban is not «WITH THE MIG INSERTED» if you ever put a incomplete game dump on the MIG and played on your console EVEN WITH airplane mode YOU WILL BE BANNED once your console get net connection, because the telemetry data is kept offline until well you know.

To all those eagerly waiting, we apologize for the delay, but we weren’t satisfied with the initial version. Here’s the final PCB of The Xtractor, and it's now headed to the oven!👨🏻‍🍳🍪
