Hi everyone! So here is my situation, I believe that my 3DS motherboard is slowly dying and I’m thinking about replacing it. I am still able to (for the most part) boot my 3DS and I’m trying to save as much of my data as I can.
Using checkpoint I was able to back up most default applications but I get a crash every time I try to make a backup of the event log and the sound apps (I don’t really care about the latter). Afterwords It shows that a backup has been created but when I try to restore, the whole system crashes.
I guess my question is twofold, is there a better way to get my data and also, how can I make sure that I backed up everything correctly?
Thanks for your help!

I suggest having a system backup on-hand before you modded your 3DS so that you can restore it. There's also re-installing the system firmware through GodMode9.
