So, I want to patch NBA JAM T.E. with NBA Jam TE - Air Jordan Patch. So, here's what I do (according to the instructions):

1. I open PPF-O-Matic
2. In the ISO File field, I choose the original NBA JAM T.E. (Track 1).bin file (the largest).
3. In the Patch field, select the NBA Jam TE - Air Jordan patch (.ppf file).
4. Click Apply

It says "The file has been patched successfully" but when I open the newly patched file in WiiStation it says "size 0 mb" in the description and gives me a black screen.

What am I doing wrong?

Have you made sure to verify the checksum for the ISO, and for what filetype that it uses?

First of all, how do I do that if patching online on romhacking.net doesn't work for big files and I don't know any other way to verify that.

Secondly, I tried patching like four different games - same result. I am pretty sure that I got it all right and something else is wrong.

I wouldn't recommend patching the ROM online. The page for the patch should have a MD5 hash or similar, you should be able to use something like PowerShell to generate the hash for your ROM and compare it to what the site has.

I am not patching online. Just checked the hash value for the file and its the same as the patch
