When I try to open the app on my 2DS it says that I need to update it, how I fix it

when i run the cia i get an errdisp error, anyone has any clue on what to do?

The error was due to the id being 6 digits, I made it 5 and know I'm getting another error

Exception type: data abort

Falta status: translation - section

when i run the bat, and fill out all the stuff, it shows a message saying the directory is an invalid argument and theres an error in the ffmpeg. i have no idea what that means, any help?

One piece of data I haven't seen (For those having problems with it starting) is that the directory the movie file is in (And the Movie File itself) cannot have any spaces. So if you've got it in D:\Movies\Convert These\My Movie.mp4 you need it to be D:\Movies\Convert_These\My_Movie.mp4

Hi, I have the issue of missing "cia_workaround.rsf"
Downloaded the file
and copy it to C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\cia_workaround.rsf
But now the issue of no permissions.

Using Windows build_full.bat

Can someone help me?

I have fixed it. Copied the file to another location and adapted the batch script. Now I could create the cia-file. But when I install it and want to start it comes the following error message.

Does anyone have an idea what causes the error?

i managed to get the .cia file installed, but it keeps saying that i need the latest firmware to run it. ive tried thrice to update my 3ds xl and it keeps saying that i need new firmware. help!!!!

Whenever i try to run the resulting cia file, it gives me an error about there being a string in the size. the error goes as follows:
Error: [string "?"]:19: bad argument
#1 to 'getSize' (number expected, got string)

Can anyone help? is there anything i could try?

I got the same error but managed to find a workaround after playing around with the responses in the build_full.bat file. I filled out everything as instructed and once I was met with the "output1.jpg" error, i just pressed CTRL + C to attempt to abort program but selected "n" for no instead of aborting. After that, I just continued with the instructions on screen (pressed "q to stop", iirc) and that seemed to build the cia file for me. Whether the file is functional or not, I've yet to test lol. I was just hoping to share this fix while it was still fresh in my memory since I've been struggling with the same issue. Hoping it works! If not, I'll try reducing the ID to 5 digits instead of 6 since I saw someone else suggest that as a fix. Edit: I forgot to mention that on one of my runs, I noticed a line mentioning something along the lines of ".wav could not be found" so I decided to use the original audio.wav file that the app came with instead of a custom one.
