Hacking Too late for PKM bank?

Is it possible to install Pokémon Bank on a N3DS that did not get it before the eshop closed, but does have CFW. And then if soF will it connect to Pokémon Home and legit?

Edit: I tried through hshop and got errors.

Sure you can and it works but you need to link your nnid to your 3DS. I have pkmn bank title id 00040000000C9B00 version 6.8.0 (6272). You can also transfer pkmn to your pokemon home.

You can still get it from the Hshop, I did that recently.

If you don't have a 3DS, you can't run Pokemon Bank.

Someone released this thing called Pokemon Chest that works on the DS/DSi, but obviously you can't connect that to Pokemon Home (i.e. to transfer Pokemon to the Switch games).
