Thanks MikaDubbz!!!, Thks a lot for your forwarder, that's the one! Just to say...some said a forwarder for C2w was not possible to do and you did it!!!! (on Tiramisu, didn't try on Aroma cause I don't use it) Big Thanks for it and also the person on the person on discord => the difference (or maybe something you did better) could be used to create a better forwarder channel for retroarch/loadiine/Yawn modmii Edition

For the record, the forwarder I made was nothing special. It was the same haxchi method of making a forwarder that many Wii U himebrew apps have been made into fowarders through.

MikaDubbz: Well, maybe it's just like a mayonnaise and you made it bull's eye right, do you know if you could make a Retroarch and loadiine forwarder with same method? (the forwarder I have concerning Retroarch won't work if 50_hbl_installer.rpx is present and my loadine's forwarder won't load the newest loadine version, only old ones).

Lostboy, I suppose I have the same as you, the one we have doesn't work when 50_hbl_installer.rpx" is present in SD:\wiiu\environments\installer\modules\setup, if it is, it won't load the program.....if not present, you won't be able to do some operations on the wiiU (install exploit for example or launch some particular operations), pretty sure a forwarder made by mika would solve this pb.

Hmm that's odd, I have forwarders for both apps that I didn't make that can launch the newest versions no problem. I don't have the files that were used to make them, so I might not be of much help on these ones.

Hmm that's odd
Not odd at all, that's the undefined behavior we talk about all the time: For some users it works while for others it doesn't but even for the ones it works it might cause crashes 1 out of 1000 times or even worse things (like with these NAND replacements we do we're seeing data corruptions (on both, MLC and SLC) bricking the consoles and nobody is able to explain where they come from. They might be caused by exactly such forwarders and you won't notice untill your console refuses to boot).

Nah, it's certainly odd that neither work for him at all when your claim is that a fail will happen 1 of every 1000 times. I'm thinking they just messed up with the creation of their fowarders.

In my case, it's the same on all 4 EUR (FR) consoles I own, so if those forwarders work for you perfectly, it could be related to language.....Tried with the forwarder created for retroarch/loadiine from different sources, the same bug.

"Yeah in that case it must be the fowarders you have. Else, you just won the worst lottery ever LOL"
As to be...Except if in relation with something I choose the same during the creation of the profile of the console on all 4.
you don't have the bug I described with the retroarch forwarder? (and loadiine forwarder?)

Nope, I've had the latest version of Loadiine working as a forwarder for quite awhile (as my DS loader really) working without issue every time. The Retroarch forwarder I've had has worked for years through various updates. However I'm not on the latest version, I'm updating now to see if my Retroarch forwarder no longer works. I don't see why it wouldn't, but who knows, I'll let ya know when I test here shortly.

Hmm, so the latest version of Retroarch just straight up doesn't work at all for me, be it launched through the forwarder or homebrew launcher. Going back to the version I had before though works no problem. Not at all sure how to explain that. This doesn't seem to be a 1 in a 1000 thing either. Might just be an incompatibility with Tiramisu? Perhaps these apps are now only being made with a focus on Aroma? I dunno, don't have a proper answer for you on this other than to just revert to a working earlier version I guess.

That might even be true thanks to changed RAM layout...

It's always funny to see when people don't listen of the creators of the CFWs, don't listen to people who studied computer science in Harvard, don't listen to programmers working for years in that area and so on... But yea, you're right and we all are wrong. I'm out of this discussion. ;)

Mika: latest version of loadiine is 22/09/2022 here: https://apps.fortheusers.org/wiiu/loadiine_gx 23459 KB 0.3 r2ae7fe4
The forwarder I have won't work with it but works with the one of date 2017/10/15
Think I figured it out. You using Pretendo? If so, removing nimble.rpx from WiiU forder>environments>tiramisu>modules makes your broken forwarders work again. Works for me anyway.

YUP, this was it, my PPSSPP homerbew and forwarder had stopped working recently as well and couldn't figure out why. Now it works a charm. Fuck Pretendo, isn't worth it at at this point.

Bro, I found the issue for sure (at least for my setup, as this was consistent, not just with the latest Retroarch, but PPSSPP as well), its fuckin Pretendo. Just remove nimble.rpx and they all work again every time without issue. Love the condescension though lol.

Nope, I don't use pretend, interesting try.
Well in that case for you, I'm inclined to say it's whatever forwarders you have. Because I'm updated across the board and it all works beautifully again, even my unreported PPSSPP issue I had been having.

Or perhaps you have a different Tiramisu module that I don't have causing the same kind of interference. What are all the modules you have in your WiiU>environments>tiramisu>modules>setup folder? I'll let you know anything I don't have and you can see if removing that helps in any way.

Don't take for you mika, V10lator violates everyone, imagine a kind of sasuke that hears everything in the shadows, he's the hidden brother of Cyan but a bit less analytic ^^

This is my really last reply now: You say it for yourself: You found the issue for your setup aka Pretendo is shifting your RAM layout in a consistent manner. For other users this might be completely different. Ready into what RAM layout and undefined behaviour means in terms of computer science in case you want to know more.

And good luck trying to make these forwarders work for all users. You already know Pretendo makes no difference for mrmagicm but I'm sure you'll find a consistent fix for everyone.
