When manually updating my switch to 16.0.3 using day break I selected update for FAT32 SD card, only after the switch refused to properly reboot that my SD card was exFAt. Is there any way to undo my mistake or is my switch bricked?

If you got a spare SD Card.
Just copy your Nintendo folder from the exfat to the new sd card.
Download a AIO package like Deepsea, copy over the firmware and update with the fat32+exfat in Daybreak again. Done!

I don't have a spare sd card, I'm looking to fix this issue with just the equipment I have on hand

Backup SD Card, format it to FAT32, copy everything back and update with Daybreak?

Your card will be FAT32 but it's honestly for the better.

GUIFormat can format it to FAT32.

Run the update again this time choose fat32 and exfat.
he cant because he cant boot since his card is exfat

backup your card
format it in rufus as fat32, it should have been fat32 to begin with since exfat is prone to corruption

Yeah, Exfat on the Switch can be very very unstable. Though I highly highly doubt it is truly bricked. I'd check it in disk management, and delete any volumes that may be visible and recreate them.

On your error screen where it says program 42000000000E51A on your sd card in sd/atmosphere/contents look for that folder and delete it if its there.

That Dell data breach is worse than people probably realize....
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
When I worked for Dell we had access to data about military contracts and addresses for high ranking people.

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

sometimes I wonder why anyone would ever buy mega man x legacy collection 2
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
