modded wii software update

Hello!
I just bought a (i think) a hard? modded wii online. I can burn DVD’s and it works. But the wii is on version 2.4 so i can’t play many games.. Is it safe to update the wii with wifi? or will it break.. please help.. thanks!

Don't play backup disks, use a usb loader

Yes, you can update.

The only way an update can kill your system is if you go installing System Menu Wads not designed for your System.

Official updates can 003 brick if the wii was previously modded and Korean and poorly region changed.

You don't have to, but u can. Not sure what it is you're trying to ask here, but after using modmii you'll have learned a lot more
