Shiny Gold? Never heard of it. Is it a ROM hack? If it is a ROM hack, then no. You cannot trade with official game carts. Search around google.

Shiny Gold is a Fire Red hack made by a guy named Zel. It is just about complete with the latest beta allowing you to play well past the elite 4.

The nice thing about shiny gold, is that you CAN trade with official game carts :) and yes, it's a rom hack.
