Well, looks like my psychiatrist fucked me up

So yea, after 3 years of waiting, I finally got my meeting with a neurologist
He went in my case with my psychiatrist
he was like...
"Ok, psychiatrist used to give that for tics, but it doesn't really work"
You see, my psychiatrist gave me tons of pills
some for my tics, but they caused shaking (He called that Parkinsonism)
well, my psychiatrist again gave me more pills for those shaking
And today, the neurologist tells me that those pills for shaking don't works for shaking either
Actually, it was causing a decrease of an hormone in my brain, which cause shaking
And now, I learned that even if he removes those pills from my prescription
Shaking will keep on
So you see, I took those pills for about 3 years
On the advice of my psychiatrist
And now, I'll be stuck with Parkinsonism for the rest of my life...

Thank you my dear psychiatrist, for fucking my life up :(

@Noctosphere Your call man, figured I'd offer an alternative to being stuck on meds that cause additional symptoms rather reduce/eliminate them. Alcohol and cigarettes obviously aren't meant to help with the symptoms or causes of anything.

@dAVID_ As opposed to "trusted" pharmaceutical medications which gave him Parkinson's.

If you go to a doctor for pain relief, they'll prescribe you opioids akin to heroin. You're trusting in a broken system to fix problems that originated from the system itself.

the only thing remotely that happened to me my psychologist didn't act soon enough on diagnosing me with bi polar (I showed signs at 15 didn't officially diagnose me/medicate me until 21 i had to switch cause he's retiring come christmas) anyways by not diagnosing me he caused a LOT of failed relationships btw can you PM me a list of your meds? I've been having tremors since starting abilify years ago and Tennex to lessen the tremors also it may not entirely be his fault many drug makers push drugs with known links to illnesses without alerting the public and they know of it thats why you hear of all these class action lawsuits against drug makers now a days cause the truth is uncovered

@chrisrlink I took Abilify for a while, don't have it anymore though
Here's my meds (thats very low compared to what I had once (about 18 pills a day))

Haloperidol 5mg at morning
Trihexyphenidyl 4mg at morning and 4mg before sleep
Fluoxetine 40mg at morning
Bupropion 300mg at morning

@Noctosphere this list is frightening. Haloperidol is quite dangerous concerning Parkinson-like long time adverse effects. And you're already taking drugs against movement disorders and Parkinson. You should find a doctor who will help you to slowly get rid of at least of Haloperidol (IMHO!). This can take months or even years.

Because it is dangerous, normally there must be a REALLY GOOD reason for taking that risk (e.g. very serious schizophrenia that can't be treated otherwise).

The longer you take Haloperidol, the worse your movement disorders can (and probably will) become. From what I read, drug-induced disorders can't really be treated with other drugs. Sometimes it can get a little better with anti-Parkinson drugs.

a bad dr doesn't mean the medication is bad for everyone. as for the weed talk: look at that list of medication and tell me its a good idea to introduce a depressant drug into the mix. and yes cbd as effects that are not present in thc. that doesn't mean they are activated magically by its inclusion. it doesn't even increase efficacy. just changes the high.while we are at it neither do the range of terpinols in the weed. I took medical cannabis for a solid year trying different routes, types, and amounts/intervals. it didnt help my depression just made me crave the way i felt when i was under its influence cause i was also dealing with an eating disorder and it made me feel hungry.

Not saying it doesn't work for others just that it's not for op and that people like XZI are the exact reason its taking so long for cannabis to be seen as socially accepted drug.

@J-Machine I never suggested using THC or CBD for depression, I suggested using them for Parkinson's symptoms. And again, you can have so little THC mixed with CBD as to not get you even the slightest bit high, but still have more effective results than isolated CBD. So even if he does have depression and wants to avoid the high/possible addiction while still treating Parkinson's symptoms, that is an option.

I'm glad marijuana products could help you with your eating disorder in any case, but just because you had a bad long-term experience due to depression doesn't mean everybody else is going to have the same results or be using the products for the same reasons. Also support for legalization is higher than it's ever been at 64%. Cannabis is already a socially accepted drug in a majority of the country, and it's ridiculous that opioids had to become a socially accepted drug first.

I have a rendez-vous with my psychiatrist this afternoon
I'll ask him if he can add weed to my prescription
I don't think I'll smoke, but I do am interrested by the oil :)

well it's legal now noct. you can try it without a prescription though it will be cheaper that way thans to compassion pricing. and as for xzi: op started by saying he say a psychiatrist so even if you only meant to say to treat his shakes with weed the reality is he's still using an anti-depressant drug to treat it and that is gonna mess with his other drugs. kindly stop posting if you don't understand what you are doing. it's just stupid to not help someone because you are misinformed about weed or what you've read

Well, I can't really use cannabis without asking my doctor
I mean, I take lot of drugs, and they might be incompatible
I asked my psychiatrist, but obviously, he prefer chemical over natural.
He wasa like "Erf... not really"
He almost shouted a "lol", just to show you how he didn't take it seriously
I'll ask my neurologist I'm supposed to see soon :)
He seems to know better than my psychiatrist honnestly

@Xzi Seriously, that video you posted on page 2 here still amaze me :P
It really makes me want to try cannabis oil and such
I'm very not sure about smoking though
I don't know why, but smoking is a big no for me

the video is blowing the effects out of proportion. those effects would take at least 30 mins after ingestion and you would need more than just a drop. Does it work? yes to a degree. but it's not what they were showing at all.
